She worked across the creative industries, bringing ideas to life for clients including Nike, John Lewis and NatWest before shifting gears and qualifying as a yoga teacher and health coach. As a wellbeing speaker, Lizzy delivered training to organisations including Amazon, Twitter and Panasonic, and made a case for putting ourselves first to better contribute to the world around us in a TEDx talk called ‘Selfish Wins’. After an early career as a primary school teacher in inner London boroughs, Hannah retrained as an educational and child psychologist at London’s Institute of Education. She has worked with children and young people with a range of needs including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, autistic spectrum condition, and memory and behavioural difficulties. She runs workshops for parents around the challenges of parenting and caring for children, and training and INSET for teachers, on topics including recognising mental health difficulties in pupils. Widely considered to be the most visible trans male in the UK, Jake speaks internationally on trans issues. He lost his sight to the condition in 2013 and is now registered severely sight impaired (blind). Once getting to grips with his sight loss, Amit set out to help others through volunteering with the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Amit is now an active campaigner for accessibility, diversity and inclusion, speaking out against the issues that disabled people face daily. Alice founded Herstory in 2014 with the aim of enabling people of all genders to see themselves in and feel empowered by the women history leaves out. Now, a few years on, the project operates internationally and to critical acclaim. Using Herstory research and methodology, Alice works in partnerships to develop creative ways to activate women's history. Geoff McDonald is now best known as a global advocate, campaigner and consultant who is passionate about addressing the stigma of mental ill health in workplaces, and about helping organisations embed purpose as a key driver of business performance. Prior to this he was the Global VP of Human Resources for Unilever. In 2008 he was diagnosed with anxiety fuelled depression, recovery from which led him to discover a new personal purpose. And in 2014 he left his role with Unilever to devote his time, energy and expertise to ending the stigma of depression and anxiety in the workplace. He tells his powerful story to audiences around the globe, knowing first-hand that talking about mental health saves lives. Gwen is the daughter of a civil rights activist and a life-long ally. She studied psychology at the University of Utah with a focus on child and adolescent development, then trained to become a teacher in Special Education, working with children with severe behaviour disorders, autism and the at-risk population in both the UK and US. Her wide-ranging experience centres on education and advocacy for diverse populations, including those with special educational needs, LGBTQ+, single parents, unconscious bias, diversity, allies, blended families and bullying. Lucy Adams has held Board level HR roles for over 10 years, most recently at the BBC during one of its most turbulent periods. Challenged and frustrated by the slow pace of change in Diversity and Inclusion, Fleur has focused her career on developing straightforward, practical strategies for improving workplace diversity. At EY, she leads the D&I strategy for the EMEIA Region, which is made up of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa with 99 countries and 105,000 people – a role that entails developing, driving and embedding an integrated diversity strategy across this large multi-disciplined matrix organization. Fleur co-authored ‘Inclusive Leadership: The Definitive Guide to Developing and Executing an Impactful Diversity and Inclusion Strategy’ with Charlotte Sweeney, which introduces a framework that any sized organisation can use, to help them think about where they are on their D&I journey Fleur Bothwick OBE and where they want to be. With a background in equalities consultancy, training and social theory, Daniel has advised national and international organisations across multiple industries on D&I strategy. Daniel was previously the Client Group Manager at Stonewall UK, working with hundreds of businesses, and co-authored the 2011–13 Workplace Equality Index. Since he joined Linklaters, the firm has developed its first enhanced Global D&I Strategy and Action Plan, increased female representation at board to 42% so far, and launched a global LGBT initiative called Open 4 Business. He has an MSc in Gender and the Media from LSE and a BA in Women’s Studies and Sociology from UCLA.
