Students also appointed a new member to serve a two-year term. Dean Maglaris, of New York City, a 1967 UVM alumnus, was appointed chair of the board of trustees, replacing Bruce Lisman, whose term expires in March. Maglaris, whose trustee term will expire in March 2004, will be appointed to a one-year term as chair when the trustees meet in May. He is alliance general manager for Pfizer Inc.
