9:00 - 9:45AM Session 1 - The LNG Canada Terminal Project

LNG Canada is a joint venture among Shell, PETRONAS, PetroChina, Mitsubishi and KOGAS, five companies that are global leaders in LNG, providing world-class technical expertise in producing, storing, shipping and selling natural gas, along with access to markets.

From the outset, LNG Canada worked to become the project of choice for British Columbia. Every decision made during the planning and design process has been done keeping safety, the environment, economic and community interests top-of-mind.

The JV Participants include:

Shell — a global leader in LNG since 1964, helping to pioneer the LNG sector. Shell operates about 20% of the world’s LNG vessels and has LNG supply projects either in operation or under construction in ten countries.

PETRONAS — is a fully integrated energy company with extensive experience in LNG. Through its wholly owned upstream energy company Progress Energy and its partners, PETRONAS is one of the largest natural gas reserves owner in Canada – with the majority of these reserves in the North Montney natural gas formation in northeast British Columbia. N D T H 2019 HAISLA LNG APRIL 2 – 4 2019, TAMITIK JUBILEE SPORT COMPLEX, KITIMAT 5

PetroChina Company Limited — is China’s largest oil and gas producer and supplier. PetroChina launched three LNG import facilities in China and is increasingly an investor in global unconventional gas production and LNG export facilities.

Mitsubishi Corporation — is Japan’s largest trading company with more than 50% share of LNG imported into Japan. Mitsubishi has been investing in LNG since 1969 and has an interest in 11 LNG export projects globally.

Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) — is the world’s largest LNG importing company and South Korea’s principal LNG provider. KOGAS operates four LNG import terminals and a nationwide pipeline network in South Korea, and another terminal in Mexico.

9:45 - 10:30AM Session 2 - The Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project

Approximately 670 kilometres, the Coastal GasLink pipeline project is a proposed pipeline that will safely deliver natural gas across northern B.C. After Coastal GasLink delivers the natural gas from the Dawson Creek area to a facility near Kitimat, LNG Canada will prepare it for export to global markets by converting the gas to a liquefied state – also known as LNG. Coastal GasLink will not be producing or exporting natural gas or LNG – their role is to ensure the safe transportation of the natural gas.

Natural gas is one of the world’s cleanest and safest energy sources. It’s used for many purposes – to heat our homes and operate household appliances, to make crop fertilizer, fabrics, plastics and other every day products. The Douglas Channel near Kitimat provides easy access to export the energy to Asian markets, where coal-fired electricity is commonly used. This provides a unique opportunity for the province to help replace higher carbon emitting fuels such as coal, helping to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Accessing the port requires the construction of Coastal GasLink.

11:15AM - NOON Session 3 - The Woodfibre LNG Project

Woodfibre LNG Limited is proposing to build a natural gas liquefaction and export facility in District of Squamish. The Woodfibre LNG Project is licenced to export approximately 2.1 million tonnes of LNG per year for 40 years. The Project cost is estimated to be between $1.4 – 1.8 billion.

Woodfibre LNG is a subsidiary of Pacific Oil & Gas Limited, which is part of the Singapore-based RGE group of companies. RGE, also known as Royal Golden Eagle, manages a group of resource-based manufacturing companies with global operations. The RGE group of companies’ work ranges from the upstream, comprising sustainable resource development and harvesting, to downstream, where the companies create diverse value- added products for the global market. Assets held by the RGE group of companies exceed US$18 billion with a combined workforce of more than 60,000 people worldwide.

The Woodfibre LNG Project will bring sustainable economic growth to the District of Squamish and the surrounding communities and will mean 25 + years of natural gas being transported from northeastern BC to a facility in southwestern BC, meaning more good paying jobs for British Columbians throughout the supply chain. At Woodfibre LNG Limited the intention is to fill positions and contracts locally whenever possible.

The Woodfibre LNG Project will receive natural gas from the Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline (EGP) Project. The pipeline project will expand a portion of FortisBC’s N D T H 2019 HAISLA LNG APRIL 2 – 4 2019, TAMITIK JUBILEE SPORT COMPLEX, KITIMAT 10

existing natural gas transmission system, which was built in 1990 to serve Squamish, the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. It involves adding about 47 kilometres of new pipe, beginning north of the Coquitlam watershed and ending at the Woodfibre site in Squamish, BC.
