Jan. 23 Jordan Wins Back-To-Back SEC Gymnast of the Week Honors MISSOURI VAULT • LSU senior Jessie Jordan won SEC Gymnast of the Week after her stellar performance against Iowa and again after the Rheagan Courville - 9.950 Kentucky/Arizona State meet. • Against Iowa, Jordan posted a 39.550 all-around total that led the country after the first week of competition. She was BARS Rheagan Courville - 9.950 also the only gymnast around the nation to earn at least three scores of 9.90 or better in one meet. • At Kentucky, Jordan tallied a 39.525 all-around that ranked as the SEC’s best all-around score that week. She also won BEAM the vault and beam titles to give her six total titles through two meets. Jessie Jordan - 9.925 • Jordan has been SEC Gymnast of the Week three times in her career. She also won it after the Missouri meet last season. FLOOR Lloimincia Hall - 9.975 Jordan is the “Ice Lady” According to D-D Breaux: Cool Under Pressure On Balance Beam ALL-AROUND • LSU senior Jessie Jordan has been the anchor in the beam lineup her entire career, and she has been so steady in that Rheagan Courville - 39.625 role that LSU coach D-D Breaux has often referred to Jordan as the “Ice Lady” because Jessie is cool under pressure and Jan. 31 fits the proverbial phrase “She has ice water in her veins.” METROPLEX CHALLENGE • The proof is in the stats: Jordan currently is tied for first in the beam national rankings with a 9.917 season average, and VAULT she has won the beam title in all three meets this season. Rheagan Courville - 9.950 • In fact, Jordan is up to 10 career beam titles which puts her in a tie with Ashleigh Clare-Kearney for eighth in career BARS beam titles at LSU. ALL-AROUND Rheagan Courville - 39.625 D-D Breaux In Year 38 as Head Coach and Doing Better Than Ever • LSU gymnastics is going into its 41st year of existence, and D-D Breaux has been at the helm for nearly all of it as she is Feb. 6 GEORGIA in her 38th year as head of the program. Breaux holds a career record of 656-405-8. • In her time as coach, LSU has produced 146 NCAA All-Americans, 125 NACGC/W Scholastic All-Americans, 54 All- selections, 177 SEC Academic Honor Roll members, 10 NCAA individual national champions, 31 Feb. 13 AT AUBURN AIAW or NCAA Championships appearances and four NCAA Super Six appearances in the last seven seasons.
