In this activity your GSA will complete a mock version of the television show Shark Tank. The goal of this activity is to help encourage confidence, health, innovation, qualifications and engagement in your groups by requiring you to solve a problem through the creation of a product.

On the first day of this activity, your group will identify a problem in the world today that you would like to solve. You will then begin to brainstorm a product that could solve this problem, and can be marketed. Make sure you address these things on Day 1: Identify a problem Brainstorm a solution name your company Identify your target market

DayDay 22 Building and Manufacturing

On the second day of this activity, you will begin to build the product that solves the problem that you identified, and map out the cost of manufacturing. Remember that different individuals have different skill sets, and that everyone can participate in different ways. Make sure you address these things on Day 2: Draw a Blueprint of your product Assess the cost of making your product (utilize various manufacturing websites like Packlane, Uline, Vistaprint, etc) What makes your product stand out?

On the third day of this activity, your group will participate in a brief infomercial. You will role- play a skit with one individual acting as a broadcaster who is interviewing the group about the product you've created. Remember, infomercials are very brief, and you need to find unique ways to get the audiences attention! Make sure you address these things on Day 3: how is your product used? What makes your product exciting? How is your product different and better than Anything else on the market? Plan a storyboard for your infomercial

Think of different ways to hook the Sharks, and convince them that your product is worth investing in! What are the price points? prepare for questions you think the sharks may ask
