• The tenders for transmission works for the expansion processes scheduled for 2017 on the National Grid will be held. The purpose of these bid processes is to award the construction and subsequent exploitation of a total of 16 projects on the national transmission system, valued at over US$ 390 million, as well as 98 projects for the zonal transmission system, valued at over US$ 760 million;

• Tenders will be held on the national transmission system in 2017 for both new and expansion works. This system consists of the transportation network supporting power transmission to supply the entire country;

• Tenders for new works include the concession for executing and subsequently exploiting the transmission project, with annual income corresponding to the value awarded in the bid. The Coordinator is holding the tenders for new works;

• Tenders for expansion works under EPC contract, include the construction of the transmission project, with a payment corresponding to the value awarded in the bid. These tenders are being held by the owner of the facilities that will be expanded.

* Information as published by the Coordinator. ENERGY Tender Process Transmission Expansion Plan Projects 2017-2018*

• National and foreign transmission companies that operate existing transmission facilities in Chile or other countries may submit tenders for new works. National or foreign companies with experience executing power transmission works in Chile or other countries may submit tenders for expansion works. Bidding companies may submit tenders individually or as a consortium which, in the latter case, must be established in Chile.

• The system for remunerations and payment of transmission works is stipulated in the law and in more specific regulations. For new works, the successful bidder’s remuneration will consist of the Annual Value of Transmission per Section (AVTS or VATT in Spanish, Valor Anual de la Transmisión por Tramo) based on its financial bid and indexation formula, which will be applied during a 20-year period starting with the startup date. After that time, the facilities and their valuation will be reviewed and updated in the Existing Facility Valuation Study, which is performed every four years according to law The AVTS will be paid by the end consumers to their respective suppliers through a Single Rate previously set by the regulator. The suppliers will collect the amounts of this Single Rate and will pay the transmission facility owners according to a monthly payment calculation determined by the Coordinator.

• For expansion works, the successful bidder must receive the investment value (I.V.) based on its financial bid for executing the works or group of works. The payments will be made during the execution of the works according to the schedules defined in the Bid. PROJECTS FOR TENDER A. NEW WORKS PROJECTS FOR TENDER B.
