MIRACLE-GRO SUPPORTS COMMUNITY GARDENS AND NUTRITION

We partnered with Miracle-Gro, and several other local organizations, to help establish community gardens at Pasadena High School and John Muir High School in Pasadena. These gardens are a component of Pasadena Unified School District’s “Building a Healthy School Environment” program which prioritizes access to healthy foods at SOUTHWEST AIRLINES SUPPORTS school. The program won a 2017 California School ARTS INITIATIVES FOR YOUTH Boards Association Golden Bell Award.

24 HOUR FITNESS PROMOTES HEALTH AND FITNESS

We introduced 24 Hour Fitness to organizations within Pasadena, where it provided quality fitness equiptment and services. Two local high schools re ceived exercise and fitness equipment. McKinley Elementary and Norma Coombs Elementary School, as well as the Victory Recreation Center, a local community center that serves the elderly and disabled, received training from 24 Hour Fitness instructors. The Tournament of Roses takes pride in our ability to help create meaningful and rewarding experiences as one of the leading volunteer organizations in the world. Our primary goal, which is to provide quality events that bring hope and joy, extends beyond the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game to include unique experiences and partnerships with others in our local communities. Through these community events, the Association aims to continue our tradition of providing year-round quality experiences.
