Neighbourhood Governance Note of Ward Forum Meeting

4. Matters Arising from Notes

6. Councillors’ reports

6.1) NS provided his report: 6.1) Birkdale, Montpelier and Brunswick roads - There are several conservation areas in the ward. The council’s now defunct Regulatory Committee was the council body where conservation area reviews were part of its brief. But these reviews are now within the Planning Committee brief. - New heritage street signs have been recommended for the budget. - Ward councillors’ attended the residents’ association lunch. - A new kissing gate is in Montpelier Park. 6.2) Hanger Hill Garden Estate 6.2) - The spring/ summer hanging baskets are in place. - Ward councillors’ attended the residents’ association AGM. - Basal growth is being removed from affected trees. - Ward councillors’ are working with residents for their Cherry Tree Walk project 6.3) Madeley Road 6.3) - Basal growth is being removed from affected trees - Ward councillors’ attended the Tea Party and the Party in the Park 6.4) Hanger Hill (East) 6.4) - Ward councillors’ met the representatives of the proposed new high school in Park View Road and spoke about the concerns about the Metropolitan Open land 6.5) West Twyford 6.5) - The proposed bus route has still not commenced. - The section 106 planning agreement is now back with Ealing Council legal officers. A letter of complaint has been written to Ealing and passed onto LB of Brent.

This was previously put forward to cover pollution hot-spots such as central London and Heathrow, but it is now proposed to be extended. - Drivers trying to avoid the zone will more likely use the A406 . - Two consultations have previously been published with a third consultation forthcoming. People should be aware and respond in the consultation.
