One of London’s most popular destinations is Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress, the Tower of London, which has served as an armory, a treasury, a menagerie, and a prison. In 1988, the Tower of London was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in recognition of its global importance and to help conserve and protect the site. Next, the Great Bell of the clock at the Palace of Westminster, nicknamed Big Ben, will be viewed from the Lambeth Bridge. Afterwards, the group will head to the British Museum. Fill your days with activities and do nothing the next. Take a personal enrichment class, do yoga, go duty-free shopping, or just relax with a dip in one of the pools or spas. Your experience on the Crown Princess will be unforgettable. Post-Cruise Tour Day 18**July 01 London (L) Today, we will arrive at London. Flåm also boasts the extraordinary Flåm Railway. One of the most dramatic train rides in Europe, the Flåm Railway takes an hour to cover 10 miles, hugging cliffs, plunging through tunnels and pausing for its passengers to admire the views as it ascends the Flåm Valley to Myrdal, a desolate mountain plateau. Completed in 2000, the 16-mile-long Aurland-Lærdal Tunnel is the world's longest traffic tunnel. It burrows beneath the mountains connecting Flåm and Lærdal on the Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord and one of its arms, the Nærøyfjord, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Depart from the ship for a scenic one-hour train ride along the Flåm River, slowly traveling 12 ½ miles from Flåm Station up to 2,845 feet above sea level to Myrdal Station. The train passes through 20 tunnels, ascends steep hills that includes 21 narrow hairpin bends. We will see Kjosfossen Waterfalls and mountain peaks along the way and enjoy the exquisite vistas of Flåm Valley. Upon arrival at Vatnahalsen Station, we will have refreshments at the charming Vatnahalsen Hotel before returning back to Flåm on the same route. Shore Excursion 2**June 24 Honningsvag (North Cape), Norway -- North Cape Hall & Cliffs Enjoy a photo stop here that offers stunning views of the Arctic Ocean, North Cape and Knivskjelodden. North Cape on Magerøya Island is the northernmost point in Europe, and the true land of the Midnight Sun. From mid-May to July, the full disc of the sun never dips below the horizon. This leisurely, half-day non-guided visit to North Cape departs on a motorcoach from Honningsvag. Enjoy the hour-long scenic drive along the shore, up cliffs through the stunning Norwegian landscape of tundra, dwarf trees, and small bogs to North Cape, the northernmost tip of Europe at latitude 71°10´21”, arriving at North Cape Hall, a tourist center located atop the North Cape cliffs. View the impressive 180° panoramic film about Finnmark (extreme northeastern part of Norway) and the North Cape seasons featured at the center's theater, peruse the gift shop for souvenirs or enjoy a snack at the center's restaurant offering spectacular views the Arctic Ocean.
