H. Kock, building 112 Frederiksborgvej 399 DK - 4000 Roskilde Denmark The map above shows the location of the main gate (‘PORTVAGT’ in the map) and the rooms. Download here the full map in high resolution. When you come from south (Roskilde) the bus stops on the east side of the south-north going road (Risø Frederiksborgvej). A bit west-northwest of the main gate you will find building 112, where the meeting takes place. When arriving to DTU Risø Campus tell the guard that you participate in the meeting (the list of participants will be provided to them). You’ll be given a visitor´s badge– please don´t forget to give it back on your last day! By taxi � Copenhagen Airport or Copenhagen Main Station to Roskilde: approx. DKK 750 (≈ 100€). From Roskilde Railway Station to Risø: approx. DDK 180 (≈24€). Phone taxi: 4675 7575 or 3535 3535. By public transportation � Count more than 50 minutes by public transportation to travel the 40 km. Use the Journey Planner to plan your trip to DTU Risø Campus (station Risø Frederiksborgvej). By train � �You need to have a ticket before boarding a train. Train and metro tickets can be purchased at the DSB ticket office in Terminal 3. The train to/from Copenhagen Central Station (København H) every 10 minutes departure from Platform 2. From Copenhagen Central Station (København H) Platform 8 departures at regular intervals towards Roskilde - travelling time approx. 25 minutes. At Roskilde station you can board bus 600S on the southern side of the railway station in Østergade. In case you are coming from the downtown (north), you have to use the underpass to cross the rails. You need the bus towards Hillerød and have to take off at DTU Risø Campus. 2 Accommodation Please be aware that accommodation in Roskilde is highly demanded at this period, don’t wait to book rooms ! Zleep Hotel (https://www.zleephotels.com/en/hotel/roskilde/) This hotel is situated in the main street of Roskilde and in walking distance from the train station Roskilde. You can take bus 600S (towards Hillerød) from the Roskilde main station to DTU Risø Campus. Scandic Hotel Roskilde (https://www.scandichotels.dk/hoteller/danmark/roskild e/scandic-roskilde) This hotel is situated approx. ½ km from the centrum of Roskilde. You can take bus 600S (towards Hillerød) from the Roskilde main station to DTU Risø Campus. Hotel Søfryd (http://hotel-sofryd.dk/om-soefryd/ � in Danish only) This hotel is situated in a village named Jyllinge about 20 km from Roskilde towards Hillerød. The hotel is on bus 600S line. Comwell Roskilde (https://www.comwellroskilde.dk/) This hotel is rather near DTU Risø Campus - you need to take a taxi (too long to walk) to DTU Risø Campus (or bus 216 from Terrasserne, but it runs just once an hour). Danhostel (http://www.danhostelroskilde.dk/) The hostel is located in Roskilde’s harbour along the Roskilde Fjord. The Roskilde Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away and Roskilde main station is a ca. 20 minutes walk away. You can take bus 600S (towards Hillerød) from the Roskilde main station to DTU Risø Campus. Travel time by train from Høje Taastrup train station to Roskilde is 12 min. The train station is in walking distance from the hotel. You can also take the bus from the same station (Høje Taastrup St.). Copenhaguen (https://www.zleephotels.com/en/hotel/roskilde/) In that case please choose hotels which are close to Central Station (København H) for easy train access to Roskilde. Travel time between Copenhagen and Risø Campus is between 43 and 51 minutes. Travel time between Copenhagen and Roskilde is between 25 and 30 minutes. Roskilde has a long history, dating from the pre- Christian Viking Age. Roskilde Cathedral: A cathedral of the Lutheran Church of Denmark. The first Gothic cathedral to be built of brick, it encouraged the spread of the Brick Gothic style throughout Northern Europe. The cathedral has been the main burial site for Danish monarchs since the 15th century. Since 1995, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Viking ship museum in Roskilde: The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde is Denmark's national museum for ships, seafaring and boatbuilding in the prehistoric and medieval period. The main focus of the museum is a permanent exhibition of five original Viking ships excavated nearby in 1962.
