  • Hollywood...Now What?
Welcome to Hollywood ...Now What? An inspiring collection of blogs by BRIAN MEDAVOY TESTIMONIALS: "If only more people were not afraid to show they are human and not have a need for yes men/women to constantly stroke you...those who walk alongside you into the storm, at every twist and turn of the tornado -come out fearless and a storm maker themselves..." "Honestly, just reading through your posts and reading the story of your rise and fall to going back up again reinvigorated my fire to keep going. This is a tough industry to navigate and for an ethnic minority like me it will probably continue to be tough. So for someone of your caliber taking the time to write blogs that help actors and creatives and going to speak at acting school(I watched the one where you spoke at Howard Fine)makes me feel that there are movers and shaker in the industry that are for the actors." "What drew me to writing this email is your website/blog. Not only is it rare for a manager like yourself to take the time to create content like you do, but the why behind it is the most inspiring. It's not to promote anything, it's not to attain something, it's not for financial gain. It's simply to connect & inspire. That alone tells me exactly the type of human being you are." "What I assumed would be a typical Q&A turned into a motivational, inspirational and humbling experience. I can't thank you enough not only for your supportive responses to our questions, but also for opening up your vulnerability and allowing the audience to experience your insecurities with you.

In Memoriam 1942 – 2013 | ROGEREBERT..COM Choose a Section REVIEWS PITCH PERFECT 2 | Susan Wloszczyna May 15, 2015 | 9 As second rounds of comedies go, “Pitch Perfect 2” definitely is not perfect. Its script is more than a smidge pitchy. And there are at least two reasons to protest its Print Page treatment of Anna Kendrick’s Beca, the once outsider freshman who took the all-girl Barden Bellas to new competitive a capella heights in the sharp, sassy and Like sweetly humble original film that sprouted into an eminently re-watchable sleeper success mostly via DVD and cable in 2012. Like 12 First, not only is the diminutive dynamo subjected to bouts of abuse about her lack of height in the form of two towering Teutonic twits from a rival group known as 3 Das Sound Machine, now that the Bellas are competing on an international level. (Although her weird girl-crush on the intimidating Valkyrie-like female half of this bullying pair at least gives Kendrick something amusing to chew on). But on top of that, Beca’s very presence in the film has been shrunk. In fact, she spends much of her senior year guiltily sneaking off to an internship at a recording studio to pursue her dream of being a music producer instead of devoting herself to boosting her fellow Bellas. That also means less time cuddling with tenor Jesse (Skylar Astin), whose all-boy Treblemakers are now more cohorts than foes. The one upside: As her distracted boss, Keegan-Michael Key delivers a stellar slam against hipsterdom involving that mystifyingly popular sauce known as sriracha.
