We did it, welcome to your senior year! Four years ago you set out to conquer high school This letter at a glance and you’re so close to your goal. Mrs. DeWall and Professor L want to insure that you savor this victory and have a senior year worthy of all the hard work you’ve put in. (read this letter in 30s or 5s)
Your senior year hopefully has already started, as you should have taken your senior portraits over the summer through LifeTouch. If you have not done so, please contact them at 757- 222-0222. Your next senior year milestone is to have an amazing homecoming. The homecoming theme this year has yet to announced but your officers and sponsors want to Welcome to 2020. Join sweep the competition, for once. To do that we will need your help, come to our our remind, and keep homecoming committee meeting on September 11th, in room 213 to help us plan our float, up with the enclosed shirt, and banner. After homecoming, and just before winter break, we will vote on senior dates. We are offering superlatives; look in December for nominations and voting times. Superlative winners will be a discount on a announced at senior breakfast, April 3rd, and all the shenanigans that that entails will carry homecoming shirt, a your excitement till the big event, prom! Your officers and sponsors have been working since this time last year to ensure your prom is one Menchville never forgets, and thus we have prom ticket, and dues things well in hand. Our prom will be May 15th in the Christopher Newport University Ball if you are willing to room. We still have a plethora of planning and preparation for it however, so listen to the pay upfront. All those announcements, look for texts from the Remind system, or just talk to an officer to get items for $50, as involved. Finally, on June 6th, you’ll cross the stage in the Hampton Coliseum as a full oppose to $70 if you graduate of Menchville high school! As you can see you have a substantial amount to look wait and purchase forward to this year, and Mrs. DeWall and Professor L hope you will join us. them individually. If you pay your senior dues BEFORE September 30th, Mrs. DeWall and Professor L will give you a free homecoming shirt, a $20 value! Cash, or checks made out to Menchville High School, can be brought to room 216 any day in September. Please fill out this form for any of the options listed below and return it to the professor in room 216 by September 20th. We are still designing a shirt, however once we have a final design we will send out through the Remind text system. Shirts will be available for delivery on October 11th and will be on sale at the school during homecoming week. If you wish to order an additional shirt beyond the first offered through our early bird special, they are an additional fifteen dollars ($15). During homecoming week shirts will be twenty-five dollars ($20), and can be bought during lunches. In order to ride the float on October 26th you must order a shirt or talk to the professor.
