There are 39 post graduate departments, and 13 conducted institutions of the University, working from three campuses of the university. The newly established Maharshi Karve Model College for Women works from Sreewardhan, district Raigad.

In this section information about the departments is arranged Faculty-wise (arranged alphabetically). Information about the Institutions is provided separately after the departments.

Eight departments are working on two campuses. These are Marathi, Hindi, Music, Art & Painting, Economics, Psychology, Commerce and Education.

University also has six Recognized institutes for Ph. D. level research. They provide guidance to Ph. D. students in the Faculty of Management Studies.

Dr. Jayashree Shinde attended Project Review meeting for the review of project ‘Developing suitable pedagogical methods for various classes, intellectual calibres and research in e-Learning’ of IIT Kharagpur at IIT Kharagpur, Kolkata as a PRSG Member appointed by NMEICT, MHRD. (November 24, 2012) 2. Department conducted Workshops on ‘Development of Open and Distance Learning Material’ for Centre for Distance Education, SNDTWU. November 19, 2012. 3. Department conducted 4-credit Online course in Basics of Instructional Design (July 2012) 4. All students of the department conducted 2 hours workshop on selected topics from Educational Technology, ICT tools, Social Media for the following departments of SNDTWU and other colleges: 1) SHPT School of Library Science, SNDTWU 2) Department of Education, SNDTWU 3) HJ College of Education, Khar 5. The department designs various new sections and maintains SNDT Women’s University’s website, provides email IDs under official domain to all departments. 6. The department supports the University in designing presentations for Convocation, Senate meetings, Orientation programmes, etc and assists in publishing various reports of the University. 7. Department also supported other departments in preparing their brochures/posters

Departmental Activities 1. Programme organized jointly by the Department and Morris Foundation on “Skill Enhancement in Learning Disability for Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools and Neighbouring Districts”. January to March, 2013. 2. Student organized disability awareness week, by creating awareness, holding rallies and street plays. 3. Students worked with children with disabilities, parents, siblings and professionals in the Rural areas of Pune District. 4. The department collaborated with K.K. College of Education for the “Core teaching for Inclusion” in mainstream schools. 5. Students of Avinash Lingam University visited the department, Arushi, the Learning Centre & CARE and interacted with faculty (Jan 2013) 6. Marit Vroog was placed in Arushi for Profession and Cultural Exchange Program under Council of International Fellowship (Nov 2012)
