The purpose of this conference was to bring our teens into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to give them an understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Faith. Our teens at OLL are very passionate people and have shown this passion in many ways. They become more involved in the Church, attending daily Mass, praying often in the Adoration Chapel and reaching out to help those in need. The stories of deep conversion are too many to recount; many of which will only be known by those directly affected.

The passion ignited within these young people has been a powerful evangelization tool within families. Parents, siblings, and other family members and our Parish family.

It was witnessed as a teen shared: “Jesus came to us and was with us in his presence in the talks at the Mass and the adoration procession to give us his Love. I did not realize that God loved me so much! ”

Your Chance to Support the 9 a.m. Sunday Our Lady of Lourdes Church Nursery

We are blessed to have a Nursery available at the 9 a.m. Mass each Sunday, staffed by paid childcare people who love being with your children.

The Nursery was initially funded by an Anonymous grant from some very special parishioners who wanted to make this service available to our parents of young children who are not yet old enough for Children's Liturgy of the Word.

Would you like to help? Perhaps you wished that something like this was available to you when your children were young? Or your own grandchildren are ready to enjoy such a service? Or, maybe you know what a comfort it is for parents with children too young to be a part of the Mass, to have someone who is lovingly caring for the little ones while parents can fully participate in the Mass.

Donations in any amount are appreciated. Cost of staffing the nursery runs about $150 per month. If this area of need calls to you, please send your gift to the Parish Office: OLL Nursery, Attention Dorothea Bitler 2718 Overbrook Drive Raleigh, North Carolina 27608

Questions? Contact Dorothea Bitler, [email protected] or 919-861-4601. 7 In August we are paying a visit to our girls in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. Let's send them greetings from North Carolina and across America!

Let's bring them friendship bracelets made in the USA!

If you have postcards with images of your special places in North Carolina or anywhere in our beautiful country, we'd love to bring them with us. A simple note on the postcard, a prayer for blessings in their lives would be great. And a friendship bracelet. The girls love friendship bracelets! You can bring your items to the parish office until August 2nd.

We are also accepting donations to bring to the Sisters. Make yours payable to Our Lady of Lourdes, Children of God Mission trip. Deadline to make donations for this trip is July 24th. It would be nice to have a postcard and bracelet for every girl. Right now there are approximately 175 girls living at the the Internado.
