I also has a few commissions for illustrations for magazines like Ms while I did the rounds with my portfolio. Slaine In 1984 I started work on 2000AD, Britain's flagship comic’s weekly, which then had a readership of upwards of

200,000 a week.

My main character was the Celtic barbarian ‘Slaine’ written by - I stayed with 2000AD for eight years, while also pursuing a freelance career which included television advertising, magazine covers and computer games covers. GlennJune Fabry Studios - www.glennfabry.co.ukPage 3

Early Work

From the mid eighties onwards I was producing mainly black and white comic strip line work on 2000AD characters such as Judge and Slaine. Then my painted work started getting more attention and I was commissioned for cover illustrations for various E-map and such as and as well as freelance excursions into advertising, including fashion magazines & television.

Games & Cards I have worked on 'Magic the Gathering' & World of Warcraft' card games and I've also painted covers for computer games including 'Desperados' and 'Dungeons and

Dragons - Heroes' for Atari. My specialty is hand drawn & hand painted illustrative work, concentrating on dynamic imaginative character and the human figure.

AwardAward Winning winning comic artPage 11 Preacher I also worked on the best selling Vertigo series 'Preacher', for which I supplied the painted covers. Preacher is currently in pre-production for HBO as a live TV series.

My covers for Preacher have been collected inInside Stor y Headline book form, and won me the first of my two Eisner Awards (an Eisner is the comic strip Oscar). This is probably the work that I am best known for in the United States.

Hellblazer & Preacher Figurines Two popular characters from the Vertigo range of adult orientated comics.

I returned to full time Authority & Kev comic strip work in 2004 with the graphic novel ‘The Authority - Kev’ for Wildstorm comics, written by Garth Ennis.

It’s a black comedy take acclaimed team ‘The Authority’ which has achieved some notoriety due to the idiosyncratic natures of it’s membership. It’s very rude and funny. Suggested, very much, for a mature readership. GlennJune Fabry Studios - www.glennfabry.co.ukPage 18

The Rugby World Cup was staged in 2007.

These are three illustrations for ‘The Times’ newspapers reviews of the games used as billboard hoardings the length and breadth of the country.

The first time in my life I have seen my work printed that big. They feature autopsy tables versions of international rugby team mascots including a cockerel for France and a dragon for Wales.

From the mid eighties onwards I 2008 update was producing mainly black and I am currently finishing Greatest Hits with David Tischman white comic strip line work on and Gary Erskin for DC Comics Vertigo. It is actually the 2000AD characters such as Judge first superhero line of books that Vertigo has ever Dredd and Slaine. Then my painted produced.
