Transfer Center We understand that when you are transferring to a new university, you may have many questions. We are here to help you find the answers you need and simplify the transfer process so that you can embark on your transition. The Transfer Center is available to assist you through the advising, registration and orientation processes. The Transfer Center provides the evaluation and posting of transfer and transient work, as well as Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and military credit. You can explore your transfer credit equivalencies by accessing our Transfer Credit Guide or the u.select button that can be found on the Transfer Center’s website at www.kent.edu/transfercenter. The Transfer Center offers the Transfer Kent State: Orientation, Advising and Registration program that is required for transfer students with 30 earned credit hours or less at the time of admission. The center also oversees the instruction of the First-Year Experience course for Transfer Students and the Tau Sigma National Honor Society. Please go online to www.kent.edu/transfercenter for more information or call 330-672-8950. The Transfer Center is located in Room 204, Schwartz Center.

Center for Adult and Veteran Services If you are an adult student, have full-time work or family responsibilities, are a member of the armed forces or are a veteran, we encourage you to contact the Center for Adult and Veteran Services for more information on its programs and services. Call 330-672-7933 for an appointment or go online to www.kent.edu/cavs. If you earned any military credit and are interested in having the coursework applied to your Kent State academic record, forward your military transcripts to the university. Stop by the Center for Adult and Veteran Services office in Room 181, Schwartz Center to see the quiet study spaces, small computer lab, tutoring schedule and advisors. The center is a one-stop shop for veterans who wish to process their VA benefits and other veteran-related services. If you prefer getting ready for college success in the company of other adult students and/or veterans with personal and professional experiences and responsibilities, the center offers an alternative to the First-Year Experience course for freshmen called the Adult Student Orientation course (US 10002). In addition, the Center for Adult and Veteran Services can provide information on housing and child care options. The center also provides support to help students manage their school, work and family responsibilities and assists with adjusting to the 2 3 campus and college experience. NEXT STEPS ✓
