The Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA) has the privilege to annually acknowledge and recognize indi- viduals who have made important contributions to the field of aerospace medicine. The award process has been ongoing for almost 60 years, and the Association cur- rently has 15 major awards that are presented annually. As an organization with approximately 3000 members, those that receive these special awards have made signif- icant contributions to our field and are deserving recipi- ents. Each of the 15 AsMA awards is named for an indi- vidual who was a leader in our field or who made great personal sacrifice in support of the women and men who work in the aerospace environment.
