The default desktop theme, Yaru, which was mostly developed by the community has received further improvements and touch ups, including a new icon theme. The icons and overall desktop look and feel have moved to a more “flat” style and away from the previous transparent versions. Application menus have moved back into the application’s window instead of across the top in the desktop toolbar. The GNOME desktop has been updated to version 3.32 which promises to be faster and more responsive while using fewer GPU resources.

    Ubuntu Budgie Checkliste zur Schritt-für-Schritt-Installation * Ubuntu Budgie 64bit per USB-Stick im Uefi-Modus installieren. * Neustart. Numlock aktivieren. * Über den Schnellzugriff ALT+F2 die "Aktualisierungsverwaltung" starten und das System updaten inkl. Neustart. Vorerst andocken an die Desktop-Leiste und wieder schließen. * Double Commander per PPA installieren. Im Terminal folgende Kommandozeilen eingeben: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexx2000/doublecmd sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install doublecmd-gtk Den Double Commander über ALT+F2 einmal starten und wieder schließen. Wichtige Benutzer- Einstellungen werden dabei grundsätzlich und immer im "Persönlichen Ordner" abgelegt, also in "/home/BENUTZER/.config/doublecmd/" Entweder läßt sich der versteckte "/.config Ordner" im "System"-Datei-Manager per STRG+h sichtbar machen oder über den Double Commander mit STRG+. (Punkt). Mit Mausklick auf das Tildezeichen ~ oben in der Laufwerksleiste des DC zeigt der DC den "Persönlichen Ordner" direkt an. Der DC legt seine Einstellungen in "/home/BENUTZER/.config/doublecmd" ab. Dorthin kann dann das zuvor angelegte DC-Backup zurückgespielt oder aber auch dieses Verzeichnis gesichert werden. DC starten und an der Desktop-Leiste andocken. * Diverse Desktop-Einstellungen per Mausklick ganz oben rechts in der Taskleiste vornehmen. * Im Startmenü oder mittels ALT+F2 "Anwendungen & Aktualisierungen" starten. Im Reiter "Zusätzliche Treiber" den proprietären NVidia Treiber installieren. * "Gnome Software" in der Desktop-Leiste links starten und unter "Aktualisierungen" evtl. die fälligen "Betriebssytemaktualisierungen" durchführen. * Über Gnome Software den "Synaptic Package Manager" über das Lupensymbol oben rechts suchen und installieren, dann starten, vorerst andocken und wieder schließen. Die Gnome Software ebenso schließen. * Meine Lauf-Tabelle "Lauf.xy.ods" auf dem Desktop kopieren (LibreOffice Calc).
