NEW 10-WEEK CLASS—VIRTUAL ‘LA BLAST DANCE FITNESS’ —SATURDAY MORNING—10 a.m. to 11 a.m. LaBlast Fitness is a partner-free dance fitness workout created by world renowned dancer and fitness expert, Louis van Amstel (as seen on ABC’s ’Dancing with the Stars’. LaBlast takes you through a diverse mix of famous ballroom dances set to your favorite music. Experience a full array of dance styles from Jive to Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz to Lindy, Hip Hop, and Country. Whether you want to tune your body, maintain a healthy life- style, learn to dance or just have fun, LaBlast offers something for everyone! DO YOU REMEMBER KIM SIMONS????? Kim is a former resident of Leonia. Kim taught art at St. John’s school and at Leonia Recreation’s adult & senior art classes, as well as summer camp programs from 1996 until 2013 when she moved to New York. Kim turned her artistic talents to food. Kim was named as one of the top ten cake artists by Dessert Professional Magazine, In 2019, Kim and her team “The Bah Hum Bakers were- crowned champions on food network “Holiday Wars’. In 2021Kim and her teammate Chef Blaque Kim competed on Food Network’s “Cakealikes”. Kim also writes a monthly column for a tri-state newspaper and has published a gluten-free cook book entitled ‘Get All Cook-Y with Kim’. Kim continues to paint. Among her more recent works are four –and-a-half doves along The Sullivan County Dove Trail collection of 50 in honor of the Woodstock’s Festival’s Golden Anniversary.

The Kaplan Adult Reach Center of “Kaplan JCC on the Palisades’ continues to reach out to neighboring communities offering their dementia caregiver education series & virtual dementia caregiving support groups via ‘Zoom’ for anyone who feels they or someone they know would benefit from this service, especially at this time as people have become 24/7 caregivers for their loved ones!
