MIXED La Ronge - Kitsaki Saulteaux Waterhen

The 9th Annual Aboriginal Broomball Programs which participated in this Broomball Championships saw 12 teams registering in four Championship include: categories of play. Our Aboriginal Development La Ronge program is a Sport For All, Target Groups Onion Lake Initiatives project. Under the Sask Sport grant Waterhen system 35% of all funds received from the Trust Saulteaux must be directed to Sport For All projects. Whitefish Aboriginal projects are a key initiative for the SBA in this grant section. Thanks to all participants and organizers for a great tournament. We unfortunately had some last minute changes to the draw due to a huge winter storm that If your group is interested in hosting next year’s passed through the Saskatoon and Prince Albert event, please call the SBA office at 780-9215. areas which made it impossible for teams to travel to the event. We filled the gap in the draw with a learn-to clinic for all the kids that were available. The clinic was very well accepted and we had about 40 kids participate in the two- hour session. The Mixed division was very competitive and the defending champions from La Ronge were once again crowned champions of the Mixed category.
