SONGS FOR YOU 12 The XVIII INTERNATIONAL CHOPIN & FRIENDS FESTIVAL The 18th International Chopin and Friend’s Festival aims to pro- mote the talents of the younger generation as well as to highlight YOUNG VISION 16 women and their many aptitudes. The program features numer- ous outstanding, emerging female artists, but that’s not all. It is worth mentioning that the coordinator of the festival, who has been MISSA APUNCTA instrumental in ensuring the festival’s success, Marta Pawlaczek, is 20 also a very capable and gifted young woman. Slowly we are making a shift and the world is staring to recognize that women have many amazing aptitudes and are fantastic artists as well as leaders. Nocturne No. 10 in E-minor, H. 46b in exploring period interpretations of Baroque and Classical (1782–1837) repertoire. Based in New York City, he is an active member of the Sebastians, New York Baroque Inc., the Bach Players of Nocturne No. 3 in A-flat major, H. 26 Holy Trinity, and the Trinity Baroque Orchestra. He has also performed with the Smithsonian Chamber Players, Les Arts Chopin Nocturne in E-minor, Op. Posth. 72 Florissants (“Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie”), and has toured with the Baroque ensemble Musica Angelica and the actor John Malkovich in two productions: The Infernal Comedy and The Giacomo Variations. An active Szymanowska Nocturne in A-flat major, “Le Murmure” chamber musician, he performs regularly with Quartet Resound, and the square piano trio, Broadwood Junction. “Travels to Russia” Francis is currently on faculty at Point CounterPoint Music Festival and main- tains a private teaching studio in New York City.
