La participation des centres techniques dans le cadre de la convention établie avec l’institut pour la collaboration dans le domaine de la normalisation. Ce programme prend en considération l'exécution du projet de jumelage "ACAA", accord dans le domaine de l'évaluation de la conformité développé par la Commission Européenne en faveur des pays sud-méditerranées qui consiste à harmoniser la législation cadre (normalisation, accréditation, évaluation de la conformité, métrologie et surveillance du marché) ainsi que les règlements techniques régissant les secteurs désignés prioritaires en Tunisie (basse tension, sécurité machines et matériaux de construction) avec l'acquis communautaire correspondant et les exigences de l'Organisation Mondiale du Commerce (OMC) et des instances internationales spécialisées. 9 Basse tension et compatibilité électromagnétique 9 sécurité machines 9 Matériaux de Construction, bois et dérivés 9 Economie d'énergie 9 Textile et cuir 9 Cosmétique et industrie chimique 9 Technologies de l’information 9 Tourisme 9 Produits alimentaires 9 Technique d’essai et d’analyse 9 Management de la qualité et de l’environnement (audit, accréditation, ..) 9 Papier et emballage Les marchés européens et arabes revêtant une importance économique pour la Tunisie, une attention particulière est constamment portée sur l’harmonisation des normes tunisiennes avec celles européennes et arabes sur la base des normes internationales et ce, afin de se conformer au code de normalisation de l’organisation Mondiale de Commerce OMC et facilitant ainsi les échanges de produits entre les pays sans obstacles techniques. Le plan stratégique en sept objectifs de l’Organisation Internationale de Normalisation ISO articulé autour du thème « des normes pour un monde durable » et adopté pour la période quinquennale 2005-2010 et constitue également une source d’orientation de l’activité de normalisation. Parmi les points importants de cette stratégie, la diffusion de l’information et la sensibilisation à l’application des normes tiendront une place essentielle dans ce programme.
