A publicly supported nonprofit organization, the Foundation fosters cultural understanding, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, and sustains an extensive program of fellowships, grants, internships/training, publishing, and cultural events. Over 30,000 Scandinavians and Americans have participated in its exchange programs over the last century. In October 2000, ASF inaugurated its headquarters Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America where it presents a broad range of public programs furthering its mission to reinforce the strong relationships between the United States and the Nordic nations, honoring their shared values and appreciating their differences. 4 PATRONS—2013-15 H.M. During Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015, more than 150 fellowships, grants, and special awards were presented to scientists, scholars, artists, and students enabling them to advance their education, research, and creative efforts abroad. Thirty-five public project grants were also made in support of artistic, cultural, and educational programs. In addition, ASF’s Internship & Training Program offered over 300 young professionals and students the opportunity to receive invaluable practical experience while living and working in another country. Each issue of Scandinavian Review, ASF’s highly praised periodical, was read by more than 8,000 individuals in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Scandinavia House welcomed a record of over 225,000 visitors over the past two years. The programs offered have been especially rich and varied. Several exciting exhibitions were presented, including: MUNCH | WARHOL and the Multiple Image which paired fin-de- siècle lithographs by Edvard Munch with large-scale screen prints by Andy Warhol; Danish Paintings from the Golden Age to the Modern Breakthrough: Selections from the Collection of Ambassador John L.     Catalogue of Photographs of Performers and Shows in the Archives of the Embassy Theatre Foundation The archives of the Embassy Theatre Foundation hold more than 3000 artifacts, including more than 600 photographs of vaudevillians inscribed to Bud Berger (long-time stage man- ager at the Embassy Theatre, known as the Emboyd until 1952); more than 300 posters, playbills, programs, stools, and even guitars signed by the stars and casts of shows that have played at the Embassy Theatre over the past forty years, rang- ing from classic and current Broadway shows to acrobatic groups, choral ensembles, dance shows, ballet, stand-up comedians, rock bands, country singers, travel films, silent films, theatre organists, and so on; and hundreds of publicity photographs of performers, shows, and events at the theatre, primarily from the period following the establishment of the Embassy Theatre Foundation and its rescue of the theatre from the wrecking ball in 1975; and a nearly complete run of the journal of the American Theatre Organ Society. The archive is now almost fully catalogued and preserved in archival housing. Earlier excerpts from the catalogue (available on the Archives page of the Embassy Theatre’s web site) cover the photographs inscribed to Bud Berger and the posters, playbills, programs, stools, and so on from later shows at the Embassy. This is the third excerpt, covering the public- ity photographs of the last forty-five years and a few photographs of earlier events, Bud Berger, and other members of the stage crew.     SHORT BIOGRAPHY Chief designer and professor Timothy Jacob Jensen Timothy Jacob Jensen joined Bang & Olufsen’s team of chief designers at the age of 17. At 24, his first design was included in the design collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York. At 28, he took over the responsibility of Jacob Jensen Design from his father. He became chief designer for Gaggenau when he was 30. At 48, he became professor at Fudan University/ Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts and at 55, he was named Designer of Year in China. Today, Chief designer and professor Timothy Jacob Jensen is working out of his legendary Danish studio together with a team of creative associates from all over the world. Chief designer and professor Timothy Jacob Jensen was born in 1962 to an American mother from New York and a Danish Father from Copenhagen. From the age of four, he grew up in the rural surroundings of Hejlskov on the shores of the Limfjord in Jutland Denmark. From a very young age, Timothy was regarded as a prodigy by many. Having had a rebellious educational upbringing and spending only 7.5 years in school, Timothy joined his father Jacob Jensen’s design studio in 1978 and spent the next six years working there. Timothy joined Bang & Olufsen’s chief designers, Jacob Jensen and David Lewis, at the age of 17, and at 19 he had designed his first car, named Logicar. At the age of 22, he designed the iconic JACOB JENSEN™ classic wrist watch, which was later included in The Museum of Modern Art New York design collections.

Several undergraduates completed their majors, two students at the master's level (Randolph Ford and Micaelen Freeman) completed their M.A. degrees, three doctoral students (Natalie Van Deusen, Susanne Fahn, and Todd Michel- son-Ambelang), took their preliminary exams and are now dissertators, and one doctoral student (Kari Synnøve Morset) completed her dissertation.
