‘Conversations about Photography in Inverness’

Launching at IMAG – June 24th 2.00 pm

We are delighted to announce that the 2nd issue of the new Scottish Photography Journal ‘NOTES’ will celebrate the coming of the FLOW Photography Festival with a Highlands launch at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery on the 24th of June 2017.

NOTES is a new artist-led journal, which seeks to create conversations about photography thinking and practice in Scotland.

NOTES’ editorial board members Ben Rush, Melanie Letoré and Nina Bacos will discuss:

 Why photography is important  How initiatives like NOTES and FLOW can contribute to a better understanding of photography, ourselves and the world image by Miriam Chefrad

NOTES provokes and invites questions around photography and photography publications, and following the presentation, the second half of the event consist in a Q&A and an open forum.

Contributors to the 2nd Edition are:

 Seán Elder (Scotland) writes about the photography of Mark Morrisroe.  Sebastian Mary Tay (Singapore) writes a survey of in the age of the Anthropocene.

Photographic Portfolios include:

 Sandy Sharp (Scotland),  Iiu Susiraja (Finland),  Miriam Chefrad (England/Morocco),  Frances Scott (Scotland).
