Like their male counterparts, the Breakers enjoyed tremendous representation in the National team with Alex Blackwell, Leonie Coleman, Sarah Andrews, Lisa Sthalekar, Ellyse Perry, Leah Poulton and Erin Osborne selected in the Australian team for the ICC Women’s World Cup in Sydney. Further congratulations must be extended to Alex Blackwell on her appointment as the Vice-Captain of the side. Success at the highest level is only possible with solid foundations and we believe in providing the best possible coaching and resources to athletes in our underpinning High Performance Programs. I am proud to report that in 2008/09 our High Performance teams achieved a clean sweep of the underage National Championships for the third time in five seasons – a truly tremendous achievement! Cricket NSW Chairman, Dr Harry Harinath OAM. Congratulations to all the players and coaches involved in the male U/19 and U/17, and the female U/15, U/17 and U/19 programs for this stunning result.
