She is interested in the circulation of complex issues in the public space, such as the political representation of women and the social acceptability of environmental projects. In this perspective, she studies the mediatization strategies of media and interest groups as well as the use of socio-digital media. She is a member of the Groupe de recherche en communication politique (GRCP) and the Réseau québécois en études féministes (RéQEF). E-mail: [email protected]. Mireille Lalancette is currently a full professor in political communication at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She has published on the construction of the mediatized image of politicians, gender, and representation and has studied the use and impact of social media by citizens, grassroots organizations, and Canadian political actors.     Communiqué pour diffusion immédiate « Le Mouvement pour une démocratie nouvelle demande aux députées et députés du Parti Libéral du Québec d’honorer leurs signatures » Montréal, le 19 septembre 2006, À l’heure où se prépare le menu législatif de l’automne 2006, le Mouvement pour une démocratie nouvelle (MDN) demande aux élues et élus du Parti Libéral du Québec d’honorer leurs engagements, pris lors de la campagne électorale de 2003. C’est en effet en citant leur propre programme (adopté en 2002) que 60 % des 125 candidates et candidats du PLQ, dont le Premier Ministre, assuraient alors le MDN qu’un gouvernement libéral «procédera, dans les deux ans et après consultation, à une réforme du mode de scrutin afin d'introduire des modalités de représentation proportionnelle.» De ce nombre, 43 se retrouvent aujourd’hui parmi les 73 éluEs du caucus libéral (liste ci-bas).
