We are seeking your support of our annual gala, “An Evening of Motown: Stop… In the Name of Play” to be held at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Your contribution will directly support social inclusion for children with disabilities.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Shane’s Inspiration is an international non-profit dedicated to fostering social inclusion for children with disabilities through inclusive playgrounds and programs. To date, we have opened 47 inclusive playgrounds in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Ecuador. This year, Shane’s Inspiration playgrounds will be opening across the U.S., Israel, and Russia (at the 2014 Winter Games). The impact of our Together, We Are Able® ability awareness education program and My PlayClub® community outreach program, which brings children of all abilities together at our inclusive playgrounds, has impacted the lives of over 30,000 children.
This past year we became members of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), which convenes global leaders to turn ideas into actions. Our CGI Commitment to Action is to bring social inclusion to five continents through the vehicle of inclusive playgrounds and programs by 2018! While our reach is now global, our biggest impact is here locally in Southern California through our education and community outreach programs.
