Arcangelo welcome

little over four years ago, arcangelo was formed by a combination of the artistic vision and drive of conductor and cellist Jonathan Cohen, and the generous support of a small number of farsighted and committed patrons. Its first major project, the beginning of a creative partnershipA with Hyperion Records, was to record a set of Porpora cantatas with countertenor . A year later, this first Arcangelo cd was released to general critical acclaim in October 2011. Arcangelo is firmly establishing an international presence through recordings and live performance at concerts and festivals across the UK, Europe and the United States. We are now presenting our autumn 2014 – summer 2015 programme, which we hope will excite audiences with its freshness, quality of musicianship and originality. arcangelo
