Pangasiwaan Sa Pagpapaunlad Ng Kalakhang Maynila (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) REPUBLIKA NO PILIPINAS TANGGAPAN NG PANGULO Pangasiwaan Sa Pagpapaunlad Ng Kalakhang Maynila (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) METRO MANILA COUNCIL MMDA Resolution No . ..15=03 Series of 2015 URGING THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS TO PURSUE THE C-3 MISSING LINK PROJECT AND ALL PROPOSED MAJOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS TO INTEGRATE ALL THE ROAD NETWORKS IN MRTRO MANILA WHEREAS, RA 7924 empowers the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to formulate, coordinate and monitor policies, standards, programs and projects to rationalize the exciting transport operation, infrastructure requirements, the use of thoroughfares and promotions of safe and convenient movement of persons and good in Metro Manila; WHEREAS, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) is an agency of the government responsible for economic development and planning; WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and Highways is responsible for all project in the field of public works, maintenance of road network in the country; WHEREAS, among the identified causes of traffic congestion and flooding in Metro Manila are unfinished road infrastructure projects; WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Council in session realized that construction of the C-3 missing link project and €| other pð»¬Qse €ÿÿor road infrastr º<™# projects integrating all the road networks in Metro Manila will reduce traffic congestion and flooding in Mega Manila. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved, pursuant to Section 6 of RA 7924, that the Council in session duly assembled, hereby urges the NEDA and DPWH to pursue the C-3 Missing Link Project and all other proposed major road infrastructure projects to integrate all the road networks in Metro Manila.
