SEUNG-YEUN HUH Piano
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Seoul, Korea, studied in Germany, England and the USA. She won several prizes at international competitions and has since performed in the in the USA, Asia and various European countries.
She works regularly with conductors such as David Zinman, Adam Fischer, John Curro, Marcus Bosch, Pietari Inkinen and Wolfram Christ, and performs with orchestras such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bielefeld Philharmonic Orchestra, the Halle Philharmonic State Orchestra, camerata zürich and Sejong Soloists. In addition to her solo activities, Seung-Yeun Huh is also a sought after chamber musician. The Huh Trio founded in 1996 together with two of her sisters, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016. Seung-Yeun Huh also founded the AOIDE Trio together with Klaidi Sahatçi, violin, and Sasha Neustroev, cello.
After successfully completing the recording of the piano sonatas and piano pieces by W. A. Mozart on five CDs on the ARS MUSICI label, the three volumes "Années de Pèlerinage" by Franz Liszt were released on two CDs in collaboration with DLF and ARS MUSICI.
In 2012, she recorded Franz Schubert's two late piano sonatas on Acustica Records as well as piano trios by Dmitri Shostakovich and Joseph Haydn with the Huh Trio.
In 2017, Seung-Yeun Huh recorded chamber music works together with the horn player Mischa Greull and Andreas Janke, violin, for Swiss Radio. In the same year, the complete recording of Mozart's works was re-released by the Chinese label "Ensign Culture". BIOGRAPHY
Sasha Neustroev was born in Novosibirsk (Russia). On graduating from the Moscow Central Music School he became a student of distinguished cellist David Geringas in Lübeck (Germany). A finalist and prizewinner at major cello competitions in Paris (Concours Rostropovich) and Moscow (Tchaikovsky Competition), he also took a special award for the best performance of Piazzolla’s Le grand tango at the 4th Adam International Cello Festival and Competition in Christchurch, next to the First Prize. This versatility and open- mindedness towards all genres of music have marked his playing ever since.
From time to time, he performs as a soloist with the Tonhalle- Orchester Zürich, where he has been deputy solo cellist since 1999, for example under Lorin Maazel (the Schumann concerto, broadcasted live on Swiss National Radio) or David Zinman (Bloch’s Shelomo). Moreover, Sasha played with various orchestras at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (Germany), the Festival International de Colmar (France), on tour with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, as well as with various chamber orchestras in Russia and Switzerland.
Sasha Neustroev shared his great love for chamber music with Julia Fischer, Gerhard Schulz, Christian Tetzlaff, Heinz Holliger, Lyudmila Berlinskaya, Oliver Schnyder and Martha Argerich, joining her in a performance of Juliusz Zarebski‘s Piano Quintet that was later released on DVD.
Between 2016 and 2018, he was a member of the Swiss Piano Trio. Two highlights of this collaboration were a prolonged tour to Canada and performances in South America of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and a corresponding CD recording.
Currently, Sasha Neustroev is a member of different chamber ensembles: the Valentin Berlinsky String Quartet, with whom he performed at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, at the Chopin- and Rubinstein-Festivals in Poland and made a number of highly acclaimed recordings, amongst others, and the AOIDE CONTACT Trio, with which he will tour through South Korea. BIOGRAPHY
Born in Tirana, studied at the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan, where he received his soloist diploma in 1994 with highest honors and honorary distinction.
Klaidi Sahatçi made his highly acclaimed solo debut in Milan with the Radio Televisione Italiana Symphony Orchestra and the Guido Cantelli Orchestra. Solo performances followed with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Virtuosi Italiani, Cameristi della Scala, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon and Orquesta Nacional de Chile. Klaidi Sahatçi regularly collaborates with world famous musicians such as Rafael Oleg, Julian Rachlin, Bruno Canino, Bruno Giuranna, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, François-Frederic Guy and Yuja Wang.
He performs regularly in many important halls such as the Great Hall of the Tonhalle Zurich, the Teatro alla Scala Milano, the Salle Gaveau in Paris and is a guest at renowned festivals.
CD and radio recordings complement his artistic activities.
From 2004 to 2008 he was first concertmaster of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, from 2007 to 2009 first concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and since 2009 first concertmaster of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.
