 SMS - Solid wastes that will be generated from IF are slag and dust. The hot slag generated from IF will be transferred to slag yard after cooling. IF slag will be used for road construction and land filling purposes. Solid waste (dust as collected in the De-dusting systems) from SMS will

 Rolling Mill - The solid wastes from the rolling mill are end cuts and miss rolls, which will be re-used in induction furnace.

 Captive Power Plant - The fly ash generated from Captive Power Plant will be utilized as raw material for the cement plant.

 Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pellet Plant - Dust collected from ESP and Bag filters and hearth layer of the main furnace comprises solid wastes from pellet plant. The entire dust will be collected and reused in pellet making process. The hearth layer is also reused. There will be no solid waste disposal from the pellet plant

NOTE: 1. The projects involving clearance under coastal Regulation zone Notification, 1991 shall submit with the application a CRZ map duly demarcated by one of the authorized agencies, showing the project activities, w.r.t. C.R.Z (at the stage of TOR) and the recommendations of the State coastal zone Management Authority (at the stage of EC). Simultaneous action shall also be taken to obtain the requisite clearance under the provisions of the C.R.Z. Notification, 1991 for the activities to be located in the CRZ.

2. The projects to be located within 10 km of the National parks, sanctuaries, Biosphere Reserves, Migratory corridors of wild Animals, the project proponent shall submit the map duly authenticated showing by chief wildlife warden showing these features vis-a- vis the project location and the Recommendation or comments of the Chief Wildlife Warden 'thereon (at the stage of EC)."

3. All correspondence with the Ministry of Environment &Forests including submission of application for TOR / Environment Clearances, subsequent Clarifications, as may be required from time to time, participation in the EAC Meeting on behalf of the project proponent shall be made by the authorized signatory only. The authorized signatory should also submit a document in support of his claim of being an authorized signatory for the specific project.
