Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Patri resided in New York, Florida and Texas before making the Black Hills her home. She is an engaged and passionate civic leader, and President of the South Dakota chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The project “The Lofts”, which is detailed in the following pages, is a mixed-use building consisting of below grade parking with commercial space on the main floor and depending on market conditions, possibly 2 or 3 levels of office space above. In addition, there will be approximately 25 owner occupied condo/ lofts on the upper levels with the selling prices of the condos/lofts to be from $200,000 to $350,000. We are excited to pro- vide locations throughout the project for existing site artwork to be reinstalled and integrated into the new park and building. One of the key components to the success of this project, is the ability to provide an even more vibrant and engaging park area. Our design embraces current and future artwork throughout, it celebrates the walkable connection to other parks and destinations beyond and it promotes interaction among the building’s residents and the community. Finally, the building’s design aesthetic is an exciting display of the combination of traditional and modern elements which fit well within the context of the downtown area. As long as marketing of the office and condos goes well in winter 2016 and spring 2017, construction would begin 2017 with summer 2018 completion date.
