Defensive End Tershawn Wharton: Tershawn Wharton, who led the GLVC in quarterback sacks and tackles for a loss in 2017, is among the top 10 in Miner history for sacks with 42 in his three years in the program. Wharton also had an S&T single- season record of 21 tackles behind the line of scrimmage last year and has 42 for his career,

Linebacker Landon Compton: Missouri S&T linebacker Landon Compton reached two top 10 career lists at S&T, as he currently ranks first in tackles for a loss and fourth in overall tackles. Last season, he became the first Miner since Chris Emesih to break into the top 10 on the school list. Compton has had back-to-back years with at least 15 tackles for a loss, with 15 in the 2016 season and 16 last fall; he has 11 in the 2018 season.

Linebacker Bo Brooks: Missouri S&T linebacker Bo Brooks has put together a huge 2018 season after moving from the secondary to linebacker, as he is approaching the S&T single-season record for tackles for a loss with 20 on the year and has 10 sacks as well. Brooks comes into the Mineral Water Bowl with 25 tackles for a loss and 22 career pass breakups; with three tackles for a loss, he will become the only player in S&T history to rank in the top 10 on both career lists.

A victory over MSU Moorhead would: -- Give the Miners a 10-2 record, assuring S&T of its third season in history with at least 10 wins and first since 2012. -- Give the Miners their second official post-season win in program history (team won the 1950 Corn Bowl). -- Make the Miners 10-1 against NCAA Division II competition in 2018. -- Give the Miners their 17th win over the last two seasons; only the 1979-80 Miners have won 17 over a two-year span. -- Give a team from the GLVC its first-ever win in a bowl game and two teams from the GLVC to win a post-season game in the same season for the first time (Indianapolis has a win in the NCAA Division II playoffs). 2018 MISSOURI S&T FOOTBALL NOTES 7 The Last Time...
