AUtO56l2072 dared 03.02.2020. 05.03.2020 & 20.03.2020 received from the Principal, EKNM Govt- College, Elerithattu. ORDER 1. As per the paper read (1) above, the Govt. of Kerala sanctioned B.A. Political Science programme at E.K.N.M Govt. College,Elerithattu,Kasaragod, ,or the academic year ?02O-202L. 2. Accordingly, an inspection was conducted in the College to verify the facilities for staning B.A.Political Science programme- The lnspection Commission vide the paper read (2) above verified the infrastructural and instructional facilities available in the college and found satislactory. The commission recommended to grant provisional affiliation to the B.A. Political Scaence programme, with an intake of 40 students during the academic yeat 2020-2021. 3. Subsequently,as per the paper read (3) above, the Syndicate resolved to approve the report ol the lnspection conducted at E.K.N.M Govt.College, Elerithattu, Kasaragod on 05.03.2020. 4.Thereafter,the Principal ol the College, vide the papers read (4)above, remitted the requisite fee and requested to grant Provisional Affiliation to the B.A. Political Science programme, for the academic yeat 2O2O-2O21. The Principal also inlormed that History & Economics are the Complemenlary papers selected for B.A. Political Science programme. 5.Considering the matter in detail, sanction has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor to granl Provisional Affiliation to the following programme at E.K.N.M. Granite (Building Stone) Quarry owned by Alex Thomas (NJT Granites) at West Eleri Village, Vellarikundu Taluk & Kasargod District, Kerala. PRE-FEASIBILTY REPORT 1.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE MINING ACTIVITY Mr Alex Thomas for M/s NJT Granites Quarry is proposing a (Building Stone) Quarry with Permit at Re-Survey No. 16 of West Eleri Village, Vellarikundu Taluk, Kasargod District, Kerala in an extent area of 2.8855 hectares. The proposed quarry area is hill rock. This is an operational quarry with Permit. In most parts of the quarry lease area the rock are exposed and also the granite (building stone) exposures are present / bordering to the lease boundary proving the occurrence of the granite building stone. The proposed quarry area is located at West Eleri, 65km from Kasargod and 4km from Malom. Part of the proposed land is already under mining and there is no vegetation in that area. The remaining land in the proposed land is mostly covered with native trees, shrubs, herbs, grass, climbers, bushes etc. The highest elevation of the lease area is 155 m. MSL and lowest is 90 m MSL. As the proposed area is hill rock, the drainage of the lease area is towards N & E. No habitants are located in the lease area. The geological resources of granite (building stone) in mining lease area are estimated to be 1382407 MT. The Blocked Reserves and Mineable Reserve of granite (building stone) in mining lease area are estimated to be 631562MT and 750845 MT respectively. In the first five years of plan period total 3,00,000 Tons granite (building stone) shall be quarried/mined.
