Wally aboard the Denny Hulme McLaren M23 Work is well in hand for next season. The calendar has been finalised and the tracks booked and HRC are just waiting to finalise with the classes what events they wish to run at before we announce the full list of classes running at each event. Some events are already full with eleven classes which is really the limit we can run at a two day meeting. Some interesting projects coming up including a possible new motoring TV show (f we can get support) and a rerun of the B & H 500. HRC are endeavouring to run Classic meetings and Mixed Meetings as separate events with the classic meetings with older cars and hopefully cars with COD’s. Unfortunately for commercial reasons we have to have some non-classic classes at these meeting to make them viable. The classic meetings are the Icebreaker 28/29th September Hampton Downs, Tasman Revival Hampton Downs 25/26th January, Tasman Revival Pukekohe 22/23rd February, Paul Fahey NZ Legends of Speed 21/22nd March Hampton Downs, Jack Nazer Classic Taupo 25/26th April. At these we will run BMW classes and ERC and while COD’s for these classes are not mandatory the cars competing in most cases could get COD’s. Race meeting organisers do need classes to combine as entry fees cannot keep rising.

Audi Sport customer racing teams won the Dubai 24 Hours and the Gulf 12 Hours with the GT3 race car in 2019. In strategic commitments, Audi Sport together with its partners decided the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the fifth time and the Suzuka 10 Hours for the first time in its favor. Title successes in Australia, Germany, Central Europe and Thailand round out the tally of the young race car to date. These successes, which Audi Sport customer racing scored against fiercest competition of up to twelve brands, validate the direction in which the development was headed. “We systematically developed the evolution so that customers would be able to make even better use of the race car,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. “Especially the current aero pack enables greater handling consistency in diverse fielding areas.” The successes claimed by amateur drivers in particular show that Audi Sport achieved its objectives.

The Orange Times Bruce McLaren Trust June / July 2014, Issue #2 Farewell Sir Jack 1926 - 2014 Along with the motorsport fraternity worldwide I was extremely saddened to th hear of Sir Jack’s recent passing on the 19 May. The McLaren family and Jack have shared a wonderful life-long friendship, starting with watching his early racing days in New Zealand, then Pop McLaren purchasing the Bobtail Cooper from Jack after the NZ summer racing season of 1957. For the following season of 1958, Jack made the McLaren Service Station in Remuera his base and brought the second Cooper with him from the UK for Bruce to drive in the NZIGP which culminated in Bruce being awarded the Celebrating 50 Years of “Driver to Europe”. Jack became his mentor and close friend and by 1959 McLaren Racing Bruce joined him as teammate for the Cooper Racing Team. The rest, as we say, is history but the friendship lived on and the BM Trust Following on from their Tasman Series was delighted to host Jack in New Zealand for a week of motorsport memories success, the fledgling BMMR Team set about in 2003 with Jack requesting that the priority of the trip was to be a visit to their very first sports car race with the Zerex see his “NZ Mum” Ruth McLaren, who, by then, was a sprightly 97 years old. th Special – on April 11 1964 at Oulton Park and I shared a very special hour with the two of them together and the love and this was a DNF/oil pressure.

TYRE DATA BOOKLET 2018 - SUZUKA 10 HOURS CONTENTS 1) GENERAL INFORMATION 2) TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS 3) FITMENT LIST 4) STATIC MEASUREMENTS 5) MEASUREMENT DATA (each size & fitment) - LOADED RADIUS SLICK - ROLLING RADIUS SLICK - RADIAL DEFLECTION DATA - LOADED RADIUS WET - ROLLING RADIUS WET Pirelli s.p.a. Confidential 13/07/2018 Page 1 GENERAL INFORMATION Static measurements The static measurements within this book are provided for each combination of tyre-rim size. Geometric measurements are taken with the tyre fitted on a rim, inflated to 2.0bar/29.0 Psi Circumference length along the middle tread line of the tyre; pD [mm] Max width maximum width of the tyre; C [mm] Tread width width of the tread. Cb [mm] A full characterisation of deflection vs. vertical load at different pressures is given; measurements are taken at two different camber levels (0° and -3.0°) for slick tyres. Pirelli s.p.a. Confidential 13/07/2018 Page 2 GENERAL INFORMATION Dynamic measurements Tyre dynamic characterisation describes changes in dimensions due to speed and vertical load. All measurements are made without any applied camber (0°) with the tyre inflated to 2.0bar/ 29.0 Psi Loaded radius distance between the wheel center and the ground; L.R. [mm] Rolling radius the length travelled by the tyre for each wheel's revolution divided R.R. [mm] by 2 p . Operating instructions Before each run The tyre pressure must always be over the declared MINIMUM INFLATION Pressures PRESSURE defined within this book. Cold tyre pressures should always be set in order that the hot target pressure stated within this book is reached.

  • ACES WILD ACES WILD the Story of the British Grand Prix the STORY of the Peter Miller
ACES WILD ACES WILD The Story of the British Grand Prix THE STORY OF THE Peter Miller Motor racing is one of the most 10. 3. BRITISH GRAND PRIX exacting and dangerous sports in the world today. And Grand Prix racing for Formula 1 single-seater cars is the RIX GREATS toughest of them all. The ultimate ambition of every racing driver since 1950, when the com petition was first introduced, has been to be crowned as 'World Cham pion'. In this, his fourth book, author Peter Miller looks into the back ground of just one of the annual qualifying rounds-the British Grand Prix-which go to make up the elusive title. Although by no means the oldest motor race on the English sporting calendar, the British Grand Prix has become recognised as an epic and invariably dramatic event, since its inception at Silverstone, Northants, on October 2nd, 1948. Since gaining World Championship status in May, 1950 — it was in fact the very first event in the Drivers' Championships of the W orld-this race has captured the interest not only of racing enthusiasts, LOONS but also of the man in the street. It has been said that the supreme test of the courage, skill and virtuosity of a Grand Prix driver is to w in the Monaco Grand Prix through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo and the German Grand Prix at the notorious Nürburgring. Both of these gruelling circuits cer tainly stretch a driver's reflexes to the limit and the winner of these classic events is assured of his rightful place in racing history.
