Itinerary of Classes and Study Visits Summer Program 2013, June 30 –July 28 Summer Program 2013, June 30 –July 28* This itinerary describes the class activities for both of InnovNation's courses at The Rothberg International School of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, organized in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Singularity University - Israel, for summer 2013. These two complementary courses are: 1. Start-ups and Innovation: The Israeli Model | 3 academic credits | Sundays & Wednesdays This program offers the opportunity to benchmark Israel's best practices in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation. Participants will gain direct access to the insights of serial start-up founders, investors, industry specialists, and R&D staff of leading multinational firms. In addition, they will learn tools and methodologies critical to both the creation of start-up companies and innovative ventures of large organizations. Instructor: Liad Agmon | Academic Head: Prof. Ari Rappoport Liad Agmon, CEO at Dynamic Yield and serial entrepreneur with extensive experience as a start-up founder and Fortune 500 Executive. Founder of Onigma (acquired by McAfee) and Delver (acquired by Sears Holdings), Agmon served as a VP of New Services and Board Member at Sears Holdings. He is currently an entrepreneur in residence at Bessemer Venture Capital and a lecturer at some of Israel's most prestigious MBA and BA programs. Breakthrough Technologies: Shaping the Future | 3 academic credits| Mondays & Tuesdays This program analyzes how exponentially growing technologies may impact our lives, industries, and society in the next decade. Participants will meet experts who specialize in different disruptive technologies and gain exposure to some of the latest breakthroughs developed in Israel. Based on these insights, students will be better prepared to seize the opportunities and face the challenges arising from the emergence of such technologies. Course Instructor: Dr. Roey Tzezana Roey Tzezana received his PhD in Nano-technology from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where he now teaches. He is a researcher in the Interdisciplinary Center for Technology Analysis & Forecasting at Tel-Aviv University, where he researches novel technologies.
