Found music appears in the film in a number of ways: Ali Wood: Ali Wood is shown via publicity, her truck and practising for her Cunnamulla concert - at the time of the film, she toured outback Queensland with her own piano. Wood was a young musician who tried to make it as a pianist in a variety of forms. At one point she had an eponymous website, but she allowed the site to lapse. It can be found at the Wayback Machine here, with this brief note on her career: Ali Wood was the first Australian pianist to make an American debut at Carnegie Hall. She has performed over 500 concerts in 26 countries on 6 continents. She has performed for heads of state and royalty and works extensively with young musicians and underprivileged children. Ali began piano lessons at the age of 4 and at 13 became the youngest pianist in Australia to be awarded the Performers Diploma with Distinction. She was the Arts Award winner for the Young Australian of the Year Awards and the recipient of the emeritus medal for music from the University of The Andes, in Venezuela. She is a Paul Harris Fellow. There are a number of references which can be googled, as with an interview here, but at time of writing she didn’t have a wiki. Brass band: A brass band is briefly shown going into a number: Marto: As town community radio DJ, aspiring band member, devotee of ABC music show Rage (only the good bits when heavy music is played), fan of The Screaming Jets, etc, Marto introduces a variety of musical notes, including but not limited to: Slim Dusty: Cunnamulla is agog with news of the arrival of Slim Dusty for a concert. As with Ali Wood, the film doesn’t show Slim Dusty performing, but his single Cunnamulla Feller appears on the soundtrack performed by him and by The Screaming Jets. This is a song which featured in The Slim Dusty Movie. Slim Dusty has a wiki here; The Screaming Jets’ wiki is here, and has links to the band’s official sites: .

Apart from the story of his early life Slim Dusty stars as himself. And he is great. It shows outback Australia and the people who live there and the songs that unite them. “Kilometres Are Still Miles to Me” Australian’s favourite singer! Slim Dusty 1927 – 2003 My favourite singer too!! During his lifetime, Dusty was considered an Australian National Treasure. His thousands of songs included “A pub with no beer.” “Walk a country mile.” “G’Day G’Day” “Duncan” “The road to Gundagai”. Slim Dusty was Australia's most successful and prolific musical artist. Who can forget Slim singing "Waltzing Matilda", Australia's national song, at the closing ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU3fy1lx9Zo One of Slim Dusty’s early trucking road songs was this one. “Kilometres Are Still Miles to Me”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyjBnP20GEw&list=RDKyjBnP20GE w#t=3 Kilometres are still miles to me They separate from home and family Now I can't count the white posts, They're not where they used to be, Kilometres are still miles to me Oh, it used to be five hundred From Melbourne to Sydney Town, Now it seems longer Every time the run comes 'round. But I just keep a churning on Just to stand on my two feet But I'm weighed down in metrics, Yes kilometres are still miles to me They separate from home and family Now I can't count the white posts, They're not where they used to be, Kilometres are still miles to me The familiar sign are gone And I'm wondering why.

It is responsible for killing two to three million people every year. Not only do these pest carry malaria, they can also spread West Nile virus, yellow fever, elephantiasis, and dengue fever. Although mosquitoes are at their most dangerous in Africa, North America, and Asia, you can find them all over the world. After the female mosquito comes into contact with an infectious disease, it lands on a person and injects its saliva into the skin, spreading the disease. The best way to avoid mosquitoes is to use a combative spray or lotion on your skin. At night, mosquito nets and light-coloured clothing will also help protect you against this most lethal animal. THE SCORPION The third deadliest animal in the world is the scorpion (snakes come in second). Out of all the different types of scorpions, 25 varieties are considered dangerous. The scorpion is responsible for between 800 and 2000 annual fatalities throughout the world. Scorpions can be found most often in Africa, Central Asia, and America.
