Detailed Note on Project
The Optical fiber cables are always laid along the road side due to easy supervrsion, quick maintenance, and low cost of maintenance. The Applicant does not have to acquire land for this purpose as the road side land belongs to PWD, PunjabState. Laying of Cable shall be done on a 0.45cm width of surface land, & up to 1.65 metres of depth and near to the extreme road boundary where alignment of trench will be done in such way that no tree will be required to be cut. The laying of Optical fiber cable along roadside is an agreed policy of the Applicant and Ministry of Surface Transport
This new scheme of laying optical Fibre Cable is most modern and state of art Technology in the field of Optical fiber cable. Moreover the same cable will provide most of new value added services as well as it will cater for the needs of Integrated of network.

Reference is invited to the Government of India guidelines, contained its letter F. No 5_3/2007_FC dated 5th February 2009, exempting payment ofNPV for underground laying of optical fibre cables (OFC) if the area does not form part of a national park / sanctuary and no falling of trees is involved. As such NPV is not payable in the present case.
However, if subsequently any clarification(s) is issued by the Central Government to the contrary, we undertake to make such payment on issue of a demand note by the competent authority.
