THE PARK Clifford Bridge Park is a small development of riverside and forest timber holiday lodges and chalets set within the boundaries of the Dartmoor National Park in a wooded river valley close to Fingle Gorge. In 1911, the poet Rupert Brooke arrived to camp at Clifford Bridge with a number of friends, including Virginia Woolf, and since then, the area has become an extremely popular destination. The lodges and chalets may be occupied at any time for any period between the 15th March and 15th January. Close by are some superb riverside walks, downstream towards Dunsford Nature Reserve and Steps Bridge, or upstream through Fingle Gorge to Fingle Bridge and the National Trust owned Castle Drogo. The site comprises several acres of level grassland set in a very private and secluded position. The River Teign borders the park and offers much opportunity for fishing. There is shared use of an outdoor swimming pool.
