Photo : Radio-Canada Le premier ministre du Nouveau-Brunswick Brian Gallant a annoncé des changements majeurs au sein du Cabinet, mardi à Saint-Jean. Des ministres acadiens clés quittent le cabinet à un an des élections provinciales. Un texte de Catherine Allard Le ministre de la Santé Victor Boudreau, le ministre de la Justice et de la Sécurité publique et de l'Éducation postsecondaire, de la Formation et du Travail Donald Arseneault, ainsi que le ministre de Service Nouveau-Brunswick Ed Doherty quittent le Cabinet. Les trois ministres sortants ont annoncé qu'ils ne se représenteront pas aux prochaines élections provinciales, prévues à l'automne 2018. « J'ai toujours pu être à l'aise avec les décisions que j'ai prises. Je n'ai pas de regret. C'est certain qu'il y a des dossiers qui ont peut-être mal tourné, mais les décisions initiales, selon moi, ont toujours été les bonnes », a affirmé Victor Boudreau lors d'un point de presse en après-midi. « Pour moi c'est une question d'avoir une nouvelle voix, un nouveau visage, une vision renouvelée pour ma communauté. Benoît Bourque devient ministre de la Santé, Gilles LePage sera ministre du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Croissance démographique et Andrew Harvey devient ministre de l’Agriculture, des Mines et des Affaires rurales. La création du ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Croissance démographique a été annoncé lundi par le premier ministre. L'arrivée d'un néophyte au ministère de la Santé, un portefeuille majeur où les dossiers délicats abondent, ne pose pas nécessairement problème selon le politologue Roger Ouellette, de l'Université de Moncton. « Une des qualités de Benoît Bourque, je pense, c’est qu’il est bon communicateur. » Roger Ouellette croit qu'il saura notamment persuader la population du bien-fondé de la réforme de l'extramural annoncée vendredi et décriée par plusieurs organisations. Entre autres, le président du Conseil du Trésor Roger Melanson agira également à titre de ministre de l’Éducation postsecondaire, le ministre de l’Environnement et des Gouvernements locaux Serge Rousselle sera responsable de Service Nouveau-Brunswick et la ministre des Aînés Lisa Harris agira également à titre de leader parlementaire adjointe du gouvernement. 5 septembre 2017 – Radio-Canada Acadie Le ministre de l'Éducation et du Développementde la petite enfance, Brian Kenny, sera aussi chargé des Langues officielles. À ce sujet, le politologue Roger Ouellette affirme que Brian Gallant ne respecte pas la Loi sur les langues officielles qui spécifie que les langues officielles doivent relever du premier ministre lui- même. Il trouve par contre habile, sur le plan politique, que Brian Gallant se nomme ministre régional de Saint-Jean et du Sud-Ouest, puisque cette région riche en électeurs perd son unique représentant au Cabinet, avec le départ d'Ed Doherty. « Il envoie un signal fort que Saint-Jean et la région du Sud-Ouest est importante », souligne-t-il.     NBFSC wins Canadian ‘Go Snowmobiling’ Award for 2012 At the 44 th International Snowmobile Congress the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (NBFSC) was recognized and awarded as the Canadian winner of the “Go Snowmobiling, Take a Friend “campaign for 2012. All Provinces in Canada and States in the USA were eligible to win respective national awards. The NBFSC were awarded as the best in Canada because of “their total integration of the Go Snowmobiling lifestyle into all aspects of organized snowmobiling in New Brunswick”, announced Ed Klim, President of the International Snowmobiler Manufacturers Association (ISMA) to the Congress’ 500 delegates from Canada, United States, Sweden and Russia. “Go Snowmobiling ” is the brainchild of ISMA and first began in 2008. New Brunswick has participated in and integrated the program into our communications from the very beginning; We have “ Gone Snowmobiling” ever since. In 2008 we partnered with the City of Bathurst’s Tourism Department, Meredith Caissie and local Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Brian Kenny to host our very first “Go Snowmobiling” Ride in New Brunswick. We spent an entire day, beginning with a local breakfast, greetings and a welcome from Bathurst Mayor Stephen Brunet and MLA, Brian Kenny. The Hon. Roland Hache’, Minister of Environment for New Brunswick joined us to ride Bathurst’s snowmobile trails with many community dignitaries that afternoon as we promoted the new message.
