The curriculum consists of conversation, literature, grammatical structure, listening and speaking practice, and academic writing. Math and art classes are also offered. Dormitory rooms are large and comfortable. Lake Forest Academy Housing Students live in comfortable, air-conditioned dormitories on campus.

The Summer Program - 7/13 to 8/14 Lake Forest Academy Activities After class and on weekends, students participate in sports, For the 41st year, Lake Forest Academy is proud to offer an intensive activities, tours, and cultural events—all in English! summer session of five weeks, beginning July 13 and ending August 14. This program is for secondary school students between the ages of 13 and 19.

The LFA ESL curriculum will be offered. Each student will be enrolled in grammar, reading, writing and speaking/listening courses. The student’s level in each area will be determined by a placement exam given at the beginning of the summer program. Each student will receive a midterm progress report, and final grades and comments, copies of which will be sent to parents.

The Lake Forest area offers opportunities for in Lake Michigan, shopping and movies at nearby malls, and activities in the local area and in the city of Chicago.
