‘AN OLD-FASHIONED CHRISTMAS’ CAST BIOS JACQUELINE BISSET (Isabella) – Jacqueline Bisset has undertaken a diverse range of dramatic and comedic challenges in the more than 50 films in which she has appeared, moving easily from stage to screen in the United States as well as in Europe, where she is equally at home performing in both English and French. Her emergence as one of the international film world’s most lustrous stars has landed her on the covers of both Newsweek and People. Two powerful recent evidences of Bisset’s continuing prominence, talent and beauty are French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s presentation to her of his country’s greatest honor, The Legion D’Honneur, and Avon’s basing its international exposure of its lauded new skin products, Anew Platinum, on the beauty and fascination of Jacqueline Bisset. Born Jacqueline Fraser-Bisset in Weybridge, Surrey, England, her father was a Scottish doctor and her French mother a lawyer. Modeling assignments led to small parts in features, such as Richard Lester’s “The Knack,” “Arividerchi Baby,” and a featured role in Roman Polanski’s “Cul- De-Sac.” It was the 1967 James Bond spoof “Casino Royal” that won Bisset a long-term contract at 20th Century Fox. An impressive list of films followed in short order, including Stanley Donen’s “Two For the Road,” “The Sweet Ride,” a role opposite Frank Sinatra in “The Detective” and “Bullit,” opposite Steve McQueen. In 1970, she was one of the stars of “Airport,” Universal’s highest- grossing film at the time. On foreign soil, Bisset has appeared in Francois Truffaut’s classic “Day For Night” and such other notable French films as “Le Magnifique,” “Sunday Woman,” a French-Italian production with Marcello Mastroianni and Jean Louis Trintignant, the Italian “Together?” with Maximillian Schell and Terrance Stamp and Schell’s “End Of The Game” with Jon Voight and Robert Shaw. In 1977, Bisset starred with Nick Nolte and Shaw in the box office hit, “The Deep.” Other roles which added to her international stardom included “The Thief Who Came to Dinner,” “The Greek Tycoon,” in which she teamed with Anthony Quinn in a pairing reminiscent of Jacqueline Kennedy and Aristotle Onasis, and Sydney Lumet’s “Murder on the Orient Express.” Her work in 1984’s “Under the Volcano,” John Huston’s adaptation of the modern classic Malcom Lowry novel, brought Bisset some of the most laudatory reviews of her career, in addition to a Golden Globe nomination for Best Dramatic Actress. One of her recent films, “Death In Love,” directed by Boaz Yakim (“Remember The Titans”), resonated at numerous festivals. Adding to her accolades, in 2007, the prestigious Chicago Film Festival presented Bisset with its Career Achievement Award. On television, Bisset starred in CBS’s “Anna Karenina,” NBC’s “In the Beginning,” playing Sarah opposite Martin Landau’s Abraham, as Mary, mother of Jesus, in “Jesus,” in CBS’s “Joan of Arc” and Lifetime’s “Sex and Mrs. X,” among many other roles. Recently, she has appeared on F/X’s “Nip/Tuck” and starred in Lifetime’s production of the Nora Roberts book, “Carolina Moon.” Based in Los Angeles, Bisset divides her time between America and Europe. ### CATHERINE STEADMAN (Tilly) – English actress Catherine Steadman has lit up the stage and screen, adding numerous credits to her name in the past few years both overseas and at home. Trained at the Oxford School of Drama, Steadman has appeared on stage in The Rubenstein Kiss, The Glory of Living, Babooshka, Numbers, and the premiere of West End production of That Kiss, which was praised by critics and nominated for the 2008 Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement or Performance in an Affiliate Theatre. Steadman’s screen roles include appearances on the most recent television adaptation of “Mansfield Park,” and the UK series “Doctors,” “The InBetweeners,” “Holby,” “Missing,” and “Law & Order: UK.” Steadman’s feature film credits include “Dust” and the 2010 film “Hippie Hippie Shake.” Recently, Steadman returned for the fourth and final season of Showtime’s “The Tudors,” as Joan Bulmer, the best friend and betrayer of Katherine Howard. ### (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL / ‘AN OLD-FASHIONED CHRISTMAS’ – Cast Bios – Page 3 LEON OCKENDEN (Cameron) – Leon Ockenden grew up in the resort town of Looe, Cornwall, England, starring in plays in school before eventually pursuing a career in acting and graduating from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Ockenden’s television roles include a starring role in the cult hit drama series “Tripping Over,” in which he played carpenter and backpacking party animal Callum. He also played the self- assured and suave Dr. Oakley in “Heartbeat” for ITV and wild boy Sam Taylor in “Family Affairs.” He has recently been seen on screen in the BBC miniseries “Heros and Villians,” “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” opposite Billy Piper and “Identity.” Next, Ockenden will feature in “The Runaway,” a Sky TV film based on Martina Cole's book. Film work includes Clive Barker's “Dread,” “The Private Life of Samuel Pepys” for Oliver Parker and the yet to be released “Red Tails” for Lucas Films. Ockenden has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in the West End, to critical acclaim, in A Plague Over England for Tamara Harvey. Most recently, he lent his voice and likeness to the critically acclaimed video game “Heavy Rain,” in which he played FBI profiler Norman Jayden. Ockenden is a life long avid fan of the Liverpool Football Club. ### KRISTOPHER TURNER (GAD) – Kristopher Turner grew up in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. A graduate from the University of Winnipeg as a theatre student, Turner started his professional career on stage in the hit Winnipeg production of Master Harold…and the Boys. Now living in Toronto, Turner continues to work both on stage and screen. Recent credits on stage include That Face, Two Weeks, Twice a Year, for which he received a Dora nomination, and the world premiere of In Gabriel’s Kitchen. Recent credits include lead roles in the features “A Wake” and “Without A Paddle 2.” For television, Turner has had roles on “Bloodletting,” “Rookie Blue,” “Being Erica,” “Backpackers,” “Me & Luke,” which received a Gemini nomination, the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving,” “Murdoch Mysteries” and “Clean.” Turner also spent four seasons as Jamie on the series “Instant Star.” --HALLMARK CHANNEL-- .
