Alexander Kerfoot tallied a pair of goals for the Avs, while Gabriel Landeskog (1g/1a), Nathan MacKinnon (1g/1a) and Tyson Barrie (0g/2a) all added multi-point efforts.

AVS TAKE ON SENATORS IN SWEDEN The Colorado Avalanche takes on the Ottawa Senators in the first game of the SAP NHL Global Series tonight at the Ericsson Globe. These two teams will face off again tomorrow night. The Avs have won three of their last four games and are 4-2-0 in their last six. This is the continuation of a 10-day road trip for the Avs, who began the journey with a 5-4 shootout win in Philadelphia and 6-4 loss in Brooklyn last weekend.

NHL GLOBAL SERIES The Avalanche are taking part in the 2017 SAP NHL Global Series here in Stockholm this week. The Avs will spend nearly a week in Sweden's capital before flying back to Denver on Sunday. Colorado is making its second trip to Europe and its international regular- season debut. The Avs were part of the 2001 NHL Challenge Series, and as defending champions defeated Brynas IF of the Swedish Elite League by a score of 5-3 thanks to Alex Tanguay’s hat trick. Colorado has four Swedish players on its current roster: Gabriel Landeskog (Stockholm), Anton Lindholm (Skelleftea), Patrik Nemeth (Stockholm) and Carl Soderberg (Malmo).

NOTEWORTHY • Nathan MacKinnon has recorded four consecutive multi-point games for the first time in his career, tallying nine points (3g/6a) during this four-game stretch. He is the first Avalanche player to tally four straight multi-point games since Matt Duchene did it from Dec. 16- 21, 2013. MacKinnon shares the team lead with 14 points (4g/10a). • Tyson Barrie has a four-game assist streak (6a) and has recored points in 10 of his last 11 games, collecting 12 points (1g/11a) during this stretch. Tyson leads the Avalanche in points (14-tied), assists (12) and game-winning goals (2). • Erik Johnson has averaged 28:26 of ice time over his last three games. EJ leads Colorado in average time-on-ice (26:19) and leads entire NHL in shifts-per-game (33.1). • Mikko Rantanen has four goals in his last four games, which included a three-game goal streak from Oct. 28 - Nov. 4.

BACK-TO-BACK The Avs are playing back-to-back games for the fourth time this season, as they face the Senators tonight and tomorrow here in Stockholm. Colorado has split each of his first three back-to-back outings. The Avs are 2-1-0 in the first game and 1-2-0 in the second. Colorado will play 11 back-to-back games this season after playing 11 last year as well.

HOME, SWEET HOME Colorado is 5-1-0 at home this season, the club's best home start since 2013-14 (also 5-1-0). The Avs have scored 28 goals in six home contests (4.7), the highest goals-per-game average in the NHL. Colorado's 28 goals equal its second-highest total through six home games in Avalanche history. He ultimately served two-plus seasons at the Lightning helm, guiding Tampa Bay to within one victory of the Stanley Cup Final in his first season (he duplicated the feat in his first season with Ottawa in 2016-17). FOURTH SEASON AS CAPTAIN FOR EK65: Erik Karlsson was appointed the ninth captain in Senators franchise history on 10/2/14. THE SENS RETURN TO SWEDEN: The Senators make a regular-season return to Stockholm when they oppose the Avalanche in the first of two 2017 SAP NHL Global Series contests this evening at the Ericsson Globe.
