PART 1: CONSULTATION STATEMENT

Introduction

This statement has been prepared in accordance with legislation enacted in the Planning Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, to accompany the adopted Supplementary Planning Document on Planning Obligations and Developer Contributions. The associated policy in the adopted Royal Borough of Windsor and Local Plan is policy IMP1 (page 8.1).

Public Consultation Exercise

The Draft Supplementary Planning Document was published and made available on 12th July 2005 for a four-week period of consultation. The publication of the document was notified to a wide range of potentially interested parties – please refer to the list set out below.

The document was also displayed on the Council’s website and was made available for downloading. Copies of the document were made available free of charge.

Reponses to the Draft Supplementary Planning Document were requested by 9th August 2005, although representations were received and duly considered up to 26th August 2005. Details of the responses received are summarised in Part 2 of this document, which also lists the 28 organisations and individuals that submitted responses to the Draft Supplementary Planning Document, and indicates the Council's responses to each of these representations.

PART 2: SUMMARY OF REPRESENTATIONS RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION (JULY – AUGUST 2005); AND THE COUNCIL’S RESPONSE TO THOSE REPRESENTATIONS

This document should be read in conjunction with the Planning Obligations and Developer Contributions document (Draft for Consultation, July 2005), which was made available on 12th July 2005 for a four-week period of public consultation.

This document has two purposes:  First, it summarises the representations that were received as a result of the consultation exercise on the Draft document  Secondly, it sets out the Council's response to each of those representations.

Several of the Council's responses involved making amendments to the content of the Draft document. The final version of the Planning Obligations and Developer Contributions document, incorporating these amendments, was approved by members of the Council’s Cabinet at their meetings on TO BE CONFIRMED.
