GAME!NOTES CHICAGO at COLORADO OCTOBER 5, 2018 8 p.m. AHLTV THE!=>TH!ANNIVERSARY!SEASON 2018-19 After months of preparation and anticipation, the 2018-19 American Hockey League season finally has TALE!OF!THE!TAPE arrived for the Chicago Wolves. Tonight marks the start of the franchise’s 25th season overall and 18th year as part of the American Hockey League. It seems fitting to open the year against the Colorado REGULAR-SEASON SERIES 0-0-0-0 Colorado | 0-0-0-0 Chicago Eagles because it’s a milestone occasion for them as well. The Eagles are making their AHL debut as they were welcomed as the league’s 31st team earlier this year. LAST MEETING April 22, 2018 Just as the Wolves are known for being four-time league champions, the Eagles enter this year riding the momentum of back-to-back championships in the ECHL. They have become partners with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche this season, so their roster does not bear much resemblance to the group that claimed the 2018 Kelly Cup. Only six Eagles return, but a good chunk of Colorado’s Opening Night 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-0 roster played for San Antonio last year as the Rampage served as the Colorado Avalanche’s NHL partner. 2018-19 Chicago Wolves Game Notes CHICAGO AT MILWAUKEE FEBRUARY 9, 2019 1 p.m. CW50 2018-19 SETTING OUR AWAY MESSAGE TALE OF THE TAPE Tonight marks the first of four straight games the Chicago Wolves will spend on the road, which marks the second-longest stretch this season. The Wolves seem to thrive outside the friendly confines of REGULAR-SEASON SERIES Allstate Arena, collecting a 14-7-1-0 road record this year that includes a six-game road winning streak 3-3-1-0 Milwaukee | 4-2-0-1 Chicago from Dec. 5-28. The penalty kill is also doing well in opposing rinks, improving to an 86.1 percent average from the overall 81.4 percent penalty kill rate. The Wolves have been impressive on the road regardless of which rink they’re in, but Milwaukee seems to be extra productive for the boys in burgundy. The Wolves and Admirals each have scored 25 goals in the seven games of the series so far this season, but Chicago owns a 12-5 advantage in 22-19-8-1 25-15-5-1 scoring at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena this year. In fact, the last time the Wolves suffered a regula- tion or overtime loss in Milwaukee was more than a year ago when Milwaukee came back in the third LEADING SCORERS IN SERIES period to force overtime before scoring halfway through the extra session to win 3-2 on Nov. 24, 2017.
