Star Photographer Peter Lindbergh and Academy Award Winner Cate Blanchett Open Exclusive Exhibition at Festival Centre

Important guests at the Zurich Film Festival. At the invitation of IWC Schaffhausen, the German star photographer Peter Lindbergh and the Australian film star Cate Blanchett will attend the ZFF. Together, they will open an exclusive exhibition at the Festival Centre with photographs by Peter Lindbergh. In the evening, Cate Blanchett will present Woody Allen’s film BLUE JASMINE, in which she plays the leading role.
It is thanks to the watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen that Peter Lindbergh’s new photographs can be seen for the first time here at the ZFF. They will continue on a tour around the world, stopping at Hong Kong, London, Miami and Dubai. The large-format images were shot this May in the Italian village of Portofino.
Peter Lindbergh and Cate Blanchett open the photo exhibition over two floors of the Festival Centre in the presence of Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen, and the ZFF Co-Directors Nadja Schildknecht and Karl Spoerri. In the evening, Cate Blanchett will answer questions about her career in the cinema corso, following the Special Screening of BLUE JASMINE.
‚Timeless Portofino’ The exhibition, which takes place under the title ‚Timeless Portofino’, launches the new Portofino watch line from IWC. Hollywood stars like Emily Blunt, Christoph Waltz, Ewan McGregor, Zhou Xun and, of course, Cate Blanchett, as well as supermodels Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova, pose in wonderful compositions wearing the new Portofino watches.
The result of the three-day shoot in Portofino is 20’000 photographs, of which Peter Lindbergh has selected 60 to be shown in the two rooms at the Festival Centre. The exhibition ‚Timeless Portofino’ is open from September 28 until the end of the festival on October 5 at the Festival Centre at Sechseläutenplatz. Admission is free of charge.
