The number of incidents were lower than in Jul 2019 (9) and Jul 14 2018 (8) and the lowest incidents recorded for this year so far. 12 11 11 • Four incidents occurred while the vessels were underway and two incidents 10 while the vessel either anchored or berthed. Four of the incidents occurred 10 during Period of Darkness (PoD). 8 7 7 6 • Three incidents were recorded in the Singapore Strait in July, bringing the 6 total number of incidents occurred in Singapore Strait to 22 in 2020. Two Sea Theft incidents occurred onboard underway reefer vessel and bulk 4 carrier respectively in the eastbound lane of TSS during PoD. The last 2 incident prior to these occurred on 28 Jun. Spares were reported stolen in both incidents. These incidents showed a shift of incident location toward 0 furthest east of the strait on the northwest of Bintan Island. Meanwhile, one JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC Attempted Action occurred towards a tug with barge in the westbound lane of TSS, off Tanjung Piai heading to Singapore during daylight. It was the 2018 2019 2020 first incident recorded in the westbound lane of TSS in Singapore Strait for this year. • A Sea Theft incident occurred onboard an anchored container ship in Incident Type (Last 12 months) Type of Vessel Attacked Manila Anchorage, Philippines during PoD. It was the fifth incidents onboard container ships out of seven total incidents in the area this year. 16 15 14 The bosun and paint stores padlocks were broken and several ship stores 15 Container Ship 1 14 reported stolen. The last recorded incident in this area was on 13 Jun 20. 13 12 11 11 • An Attempted Action occurred onboard an offshore support vessel while 10 10 10 Reefer Vessel 1 11 9 9 berthed at Kakinada Port, India during PoD. It was the fourth incidents in 10 the area, the third incidents involving offshore support vessel but the first 9 7 7 incident recorded onboard a berthed vessel in the area. The perpetrators 8 Tug and Barge 1 7 6 assessed climbed the jetty fender from under the quay to a blind spot on 6 the main deck area of the vessel. The perpetrators jumped overboard when 5 Bulk Carrier 1 alarm sounded. No injury to the crew and no item reported stolen. The last 4 recorded incident in this area was on 28 Feb 20. 3 2 1 Tanker 1 • An Attempted Action occurred off Natuna Island, Indonesia on an 0 underway tanker during daylight. Two boats with approximately four to six crew were sighted. (Countries shown here represent the location of the vessels involved) • 79.5% (35) of the reported local IUU Fishing incidents occurred in the waters of Sri Lanka and Philippines. Poaching 20.5% (9) SRI LANKA • The number of IUU fishing incidents involving poaching 47.7% PHILIPPINES recorded in Jul 2020 (23) has increased dramatically 31.8% (21) compared to the figures recorded in Jun 2020 (14), Jul MALAYSIA 2019 (15) and Jul 2018 (8) respectively. (14) • 91.3% (21) of the reported poaching incidents were by Vietnamese fishing vessels. • 69.6% (16) of the reported poaching incidents occurred in Malaysian waters. RELEASEABLE TO OPCENS Contraband Smuggling (CS) Number of Incidents (2018 - 2020) Observations 60 The number of incidents reported this month is higher than those reported during the same period in 2019 and 2018, 50 but is lower than June 2020. 40 36 Drugs : 12 incidents • Two incidents in Indonesia – 157.4 Kg meth and 29 31 30 Ecstasy (40,000 pills) 22 21 18 • Malaysia seized two incidents of meth (8.2 Kg) and 20 14 one of Cannabis (230 Kg), smuggled from Malaysia. 10 • Vietnam seized 40 Kg meth from a container destined for ROK. 0 • Four seizures of Cannabis in Sri Lanka (684.3 Kg). Jumlah pulau- pulau tersebut belum valid karena luasnya perairan dan banyaknya taburan pulau-pulau yang belum mempunyai nama. Penyelesaian permasalahan Toponimi dimulai pada tingkat Kecamatan, Kabupaten, atau pun Propinsi secara bertahap. Sebagian besar dari pulau-pulau kecil yang berada di sekitar Pulau-Pulau di sekitar Sumatra telah memiliki peradaban laut sejak masa Klasik, tetapi belum memiliki nama. Pulau- pulau ini tersebar di Propinsi Kepulauan Riau (lebih kurang 156 pulau di Kabupaten Bintan, dan ratusan pulau di kabupaten lainnya), Propinsi Bangka Belitung, Propinsi Sumatra Barat, dan Propinsi Sumatra Utara. Sebagian besar dari pulau yang belum bernama tersebut telah dikenal oleh masyarakat setempat, terutama oleh para nelayan. Pulau-pulau yang belum memiliki nama secara nasional sudah seyogyanya dimunculkan dalam peta Indonesia dan dunia, karena dengan tercantumnya nama tersebut dapat menambah kekuatan Indonesia dalam menjaga stabilitas nasional. Sistem pertahanan dan keamanan Indonesia yang dicita-citakan dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945 dan Wawasan Nusantara hanya dapat terwujud jika tidak ada lagi permasalahan Toponimi Indonesia. 1.
