Matchday One Kicks-off Winter Season on Saturday, November 28th with Four Games From local soccer legends to professional players returning to DFW in between their pro seasons to top local semi-pro players and teams to elite college players home for extended Winter Break; local soccer fans will have an opportunity to see top tier soccer this Winter in an intimate setting in Dallas, Denton & Fort Worth starting Saturday, November 28th through January 9th. The Roja League Invierno will feature 8 teams including two teams made up of 100% College Players home for break, 3 NPSL Teams and 3 UPSL Teams. Every team will play seven games in a bal- anced schedule with the top four teams qualifying for TRL Invierno playoffs in early January. On January 9th, 2021 The Roja League Invierno will crown it’s Winter Champion. The Roja League was formed as a safe return to play this past Summer. Once Governor Abbott approved Sporting Events with Spectators, TRL Co-Founders Michael (Hitch) Hitchcock and Damon Gochneaur launched The Roja League providing COVID-19 Testing for players, referees, coaches & staff with Supporters Gameday Protocol that includes Mandatory Masks, Socially Distanced Seating, Contactless Ticketing & Merchandise, Bring Your Own Food & Beverage and limited fan capacities at all venues while digitally broad- casting games for fans who did not feel comfortable attending a live sporting event. Similar protocols will be in place for The Roja League Invierno. Every venue will have different Food & Beverage protocols and limited capacities. “The Roja League Invierno will be another celebration of arguably the best soccer community in the country. We’re looking forward to seeing great soccer supporters coming together to enjoy the best soccer in the metroplex in a fun, festive game day experience. Lots of past, current and future professionals will be playing the game they love this Winter for the love of the game while preparing for their 2021 Seasons. We’re proud to be able to provide that opportunity during a critical time!” shared TRL Co-Founder, Hitch. In the Summer six team season, a passionate crowd enjoyed a great Championship Game at Vela Soccer Complex in Denton, where Denton Diablos of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) lost to their collegiate counterparts, Estudiantes, a team made up exclusively of college players within the Diablos organization. THE ROJA LEAGUE INVIERNO MEDIA GUIDE | PAGE 3 The Roja League has expanded to 8 teams for the Winter Season, anchored by the Denton Diablos and Fort Worth Vaqueros, who will use the competition to start their preparations for the 2021 Lamar Hunt `US OPEN CUP, newly announce NPSL side Irving FC to prepare for their Inaugural NPSL Season, UPSL teams’ Fort Worth Inocentes FC, Foro 360 PRO, FC Harrington, and two completely collegiate teams in Premier Legends and defending Roja League Champions, Denton Estudiantes; both teams are made up of returning college players who will use the Winter Season to prepare for the 2021 NCAA Spring Season. • Legacy Plan 1 Introduction
LEGACY PLAN 1 INTRODUCTION In 2021, Lithuania will host the biggest sports event in the country’s history – the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021™. The three host cities, Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, will welcome the best futsal national teams in the world. Hosting such an event will have a significant impact on Lithuanian futsal, the host cities and the country itself. 2 PURPOSE The legacy plan will help to identify and predict the impact that the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 will have on futsal in the country and on Lithuania’s profile in international sport. The aim is to leave a legacy for futsal in Lithuania, and to grow professionalism in the sport and the rate of participation. 3 CURRENT SITUATION Futsal in Lithuania is currently semi-professional. A total of ten teams participated in the futsal A league in 2019/2020. The Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) also organises the LFF Futsal Cup, in which a minimum of 14 futsal teams participate each year. Looking at children’s participation, 210 girls’ teams (2,000 girls) and 283 boys’ teams (2,750 boys) participated across various grassroots futsal competitions in the 2019/2020 season. Research conducted by Kantar in 2019 showed that a third of respondents (30%) are aware of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 being held in the country. There is an opportunity for this event to bring new fans to futsal, especially as Lithuania will be competing in a Futsal World Cup or FIFA event for the very first time. 4 VISION Our legacy plan is based on the goal to present the tournament as the greatest achievement in the history of Lithuanian football and as a unique opportunity for Lithuanians to experience world-class futsal live.

Copies of working papers are available from the author. Funding for this research was provided in part by Harvard Business School. MLS as a Sports Product – the Prominence of the World’s Game in the U.S. April 8, 2021 Abstract The purpose of this Working Paper is to analyze how soccer at the professional level in the U.S., with Major League Soccer as a focal point, has developed over the span of a quarter of a century. It is worthwhile to examine the growth of MLS from its first game in 1996 to where the league currently stands as a business as it moves past its 25th anniversary. The 1994 World Cup (held in the U.S.) and the subsequent implementation of MLS as a U.S. professional league exerted a major positive influence on soccer participation and fandom in the U.S. Consequently, more importance was placed on soccer in the country’s culture.
