Matchday One Kicks-off Winter Season on Saturday, November 28th with Four Games From local soccer legends to professional players returning to DFW in between their pro seasons to top local semi-pro players and teams to elite college players home for extended Winter Break; local soccer fans will have an opportunity to see top tier soccer this Winter in an intimate setting in Dallas, Denton & Fort Worth starting Saturday, November 28th through January 9th. The Roja League Invierno will feature 8 teams including two teams made up of 100% College Players home for break, 3 NPSL Teams and 3 UPSL Teams. Every team will play seven games in a bal- anced schedule with the top four teams qualifying for TRL Invierno playoffs in early January. On January 9th, 2021 The Roja League Invierno will crown it’s Winter Champion. The Roja League was formed as a safe return to play this past Summer. Once Governor Abbott approved Sporting Events with Spectators, TRL Co-Founders Michael (Hitch) Hitchcock and Damon Gochneaur launched The Roja League providing COVID-19 Testing for players, referees, coaches & staff with Supporters Gameday Protocol that includes Mandatory Masks, Socially Distanced Seating, Contactless Ticketing & Merchandise, Bring Your Own Food & Beverage and limited fan capacities at all venues while digitally broad- casting games for fans who did not feel comfortable attending a live sporting event. Similar protocols will be in place for The Roja League Invierno. Every venue will have different Food & Beverage protocols and limited capacities. “The Roja League Invierno will be another celebration of arguably the best soccer community in the country. We’re looking forward to seeing great soccer supporters coming together to enjoy the best soccer in the metroplex in a fun, festive game day experience. Lots of past, current and future professionals will be playing the game they love this Winter for the love of the game while preparing for their 2021 Seasons. We’re proud to be able to provide that opportunity during a critical time!” shared TRL Co-Founder, Hitch. In the Summer six team season, a passionate crowd enjoyed a great Championship Game at Vela Soccer Complex in Denton, where Denton Diablos of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) lost to their collegiate counterparts, Estudiantes, a team made up exclusively of college players within the Diablos organization.
