Star Farm Pages.indd 3 29/07/2019 11:51 Seller Insight

We had lived in Rugby for many years and we were surprised when we first viewed Star Farm as we didn’t know that this road even existed! We loved the seclusion and sense of privacy, and we knew that we wanted to live here as soon as we walked through the front door,” recall the current owners.

“The location has been fabulous. We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out as there is a great choice of restaurants in the town centre, as well as a variety of pubs. Elliot’s Field Shopping Park is within walking distance, so we don’t have to struggle to park and there is a fabulous range of high street stores and cafes. Swift Valley Nature Reserve is a great place to walk dogs and we enjoy looking at the wildlife with our grandchild. We’re never short of things to do or places to go, including the Museum and Art Gallery in Rugby town centre as well as Brownsover Hall which is a fabulous Victorian Gothic mansion.”

“The garden is very private and is surrounded by trees. We’re not overlooked at all and we like to relax on the swing seat on sunny days. There’s always something of interest to catch our eye, including a huge variety of birds and wildlife. The paved area is perfect for BBQs and entertaining and our friends tend to meet up here for drinks in the garden before we make our annual trip to Leicester Races.”

“It’s hard to choose just one favourite room as we love them all. The snug heats up quickly in the morning and it’s also a cosy retreat in the winter evenings, whilst the lounge has an open fire that lends itself perfectly to the Christmas festivities. Perhaps my favourite moments though are those spent in the bath with a glass of wine as I look at the dappled sunlight at the end of the day. It’s perfect.”

“We have the best of both worlds here as it’s like living in our own little slice of countryside. Yet we have everything we need, including great road and rail links, shops and restaurants, supermarkets etc. which are all easily accessible. We will miss this, as well as well as those relaxing times spent lazing on the swing seat in the garden on a balmy, summers day.”*
