Look for these and others in the distribution racks in the hall way near the Gift Shop: The Life of Padre Pio: Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry by Matthew Arnold; A Scriptural Walk Through the Mass by Dr. Edward Sri; and The Battle Within: Sin and How to Fight It by Jeff Cavins. Several booklets are also available, among them are Who is the Devil? and The Call to Evangelize. We suggest a donation of $3 for the CDs and $2 for the booklets. New Parish App Coming Soon! In the coming weeks St. John the Evangelist will launch our own app for iPhone and Android smart phones. This will allow us to better communicate with you throughout the week and keep you updated with relevant parish news or updates. This well designed and intuitive app will be a great resource for parishioners by providing daily Mass readings, Catholic news and prayers, convenient prayer and Confession reminders, our bulletins and more. We hope is that our new app will be a tool for fostering stronger parish life at St. John the Evangelist and better engaging the New Evangelization. Please watch in the coming weeks for our official launch announcement. If you see only ONE movie this year UNPLANNED is being show locally. This motion picture is based on the true story of National Planned Parenthood's former Employee of the Year who changed her thinking drastically to become strongly Pro Life. Although this movie is R rated and not suitable for those under age 13 it is still beautifully done and compelling to watch. (From two of our parishioners who saw the movie) St. John the Evangelist Lenten Penance Service will be held Tuesday, April 16, 7 p.m. Please put the date on your calendar. There will NOT be Confession during Holy Week - Holy Thursday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday so we encourage you to attend one of these services. See you there.
